The Steiff archive, located on Steiff’s campus in Giengen, Germany, holds the company’s manufacturing history all within several large rooms. These dedicated areas contain over 15,000 Steiff items and rarities, with the earliest example being one of Margarete Steiff’s original felt elephants from 1880! The temperature in the archives is always between 60 and 64 degrees, and the humidity is always between 50 to 60%.
