A few words from our team manager Nicky Ironton

Good evening, I would like to welcome Hitchin Town FC to Herns Lane. WGC have started the season with 3 league wins and a draw and we know today’s encounter should be a very competi- tive game against an established Southern League Premier Divi- sion side.

I’m extremely happy with the start the squad have made, as there are a lot of new faces, so jelling the old players with the new I thought would take a little longer, but to my delight they have Eusebio Da Silva has been in fine form scoring bonded very well. freely carrying on his Pre-Season form into the We have a large squad, so competition for places will keep all the BetVictor Southern league players on their toes. We will however not get carried away with the good start as results in football can change quickly. All the players need to stay focused and take one game at a time.

Thanks to WGC fans for your support, the boys really appreciate it, long may it continue.

Enjoy the game, Cheers, Nicky
