The WIAA oversees athletics in Washington and hosts 120 WIAA State Championship events for the following sports and activities: baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, dance/drill, debate, drama, football, golf, gymnastics, music, softball, swimming and diving, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball and wrestling. These programs provide students with valuable life skills and are an integral part of the total education process. The City Council recognizes Shoreline student athletes from Kings’ School, Shorecrest High School, Shoreline Christian School, and Shorewood High School for their outstanding accomplishments, and applauds them for competing in the WIAA State Championships and achieving 1st Place in their respective sporting event. Coaches and student athletes from Kings’ School, Shorecrest High School, Shoreline Christian School, and Shorewood High School will be on hand to accept the proclamation.
