YOUNG +1 (617)-712-8233 INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER WORK EXPERIENCE EDUCATION GRAND TIME, INC. — PRODUCT DESIGNER RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN (RISD) Dallas, TX / April 2019 — December 2019 (8 months) Providence, RI / BFA, Industrial Design 2014 I managed product development for JBW and Breda as well as licensed brands. My day-to-day responsibilities centered around reviewing technical Resident Advisor 2012—2014 (3 years) drawings, providing updates to team members, keeping calendars up to date, Machine Shop Monitor 2013—2014 (2 years) and communicating with factories. I designed product for both brands to meet Machine Shop Head Monitor 2014 (1 year) seasonal launch dates and negotiated pricing with factories. FOSSIL GROUP, INC. — WATCH DESIGNER Dallas, TX / July 2016 — April 2019 (2 years 9 months) I started on the Women’s Watch team, identifying white space in the product SKILLS lineup and designing watches to drive growth with millennial customers. After our director resigned, I collaborated with creative directors from other teams to create high-level concept stories while managing the team’s day-to-day output. I later moved to the Men’s Watch team where I designed a new dress watch, DESIGN as well as contributed to advanced development concepts. Low-fidelity mockups, rapid prototyping, concept sketching, Class-A 3D surfacing, 3D printing, design research, design strategy, design presentation, technical drawings, material sourcing FREELANCE — DESIGN CONSULTANT Boston, MA / January 2016 — July 2016 (9 months) SOFTWARE After coming back from Europe, I worked as a barista while job hunting and Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign freelancing. Some projects included design consulting for an orthodontics Solidworks, Rhinoceros, Keyshot, Procreate device startup, graphic t-shirt design, and interior architectural design and visualization for a California-based stealth startup. I backpacked through 24 cities and 13 countries. Some highlights include night life in Berlin, the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, and hiking the mountains of Zakopane. My primary focus at first was wireframing the UI for LANGUAGES a smart lighting app and prototyping ways to organize toiletry supplies. English Afterwards, I was hired on as a full-time contractor where I worked on the Mandarin Artifacts product suite, contributing new toilet concepts as well as accessories..
