The Ripley Academy is an 11-18 school located in close to Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield and within easy reach of the Peak District. We are a member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with the other academies within the Trust including The and John Flamsteed Community School.

We are looking to appoint a Head of Social Sciences to teach across the full range of abilities to A Level. Someone who has a true passion for teaching as well as the drive and determination to make a significant, positive impact on our students ensuring all achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from all who feel they have the ability, enthusiasm and commitment to enhance the lives of students at our Academy.

Our school is a happy, thriving school where the Social Sciences are an emerging department and part of our hugely successful Science faculty with large numbers in our 6th Form from September 2019.
