By car From the Brussels Airport Direct access via the Boulevard Léopold III (without taking the Brussels Ring R0) SAP Education Center Belgium, Evere – Practical Information From the Ring or E40 (Leuven/Louvain-Liège/Luik) Direct access via the Boulevard Léopold III. Take the Ring. Exit ‘3 EVERE’ direction Avenue du Bourget. SAP Education Center Belgium, Evere – Practical Information From Brussels Center Direction is Place Meiser, Meiserplaats / Boulevard Reyers, Reyerslaan. From there, please go to the direction ‘Ring’ or ‘Airport’ through the Boulevard Léopold III. Meiser Reyers SAP Education Center Belgium, Evere – Practical Information Parking facilities at a walking distance. Next to the Marriott hotel there is a public parking. This parking is accessible for all SAP and non-SAP customers. Parking places around the building will be paying. (incl. streets) Please do note that SAP is not responsible for any theft or damage that may be caused to your car. So please be careful not to leave any valuable document or item in your car. By train By train: Train 26 from Vilvoorde/Mechelen to Halle: stop = Evere The train station of Evere is at a 12-minute walking distance from our building. SAP c. By bus/tramway 6 bus stops within a 500 m radius (4 min.). Bus 65: from Gare Centrale to Bourget: stop = Lekaerts or Hoedemaekers Bus 66: from De Brouckère to Péage/Tol: stop = Evere Shopping Bus 12: from Brussels Airport to Luxembourg (express): stop = Da Vinci Bus 21: from Brussels Airport to Luxembourg: stop = Permeke Bus 45: from Roodebeek to Saint-Vincent: stop = Permeke or Hoedemaekers Bus 64: from Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort to Machelen: stop = Notre-Dame/Onze-Lieve-Vrouw or Oud-Kapelleke 1 tram stop 2 min. from the building: Tram 62: from Cimetière de Jette to Eurocontrol: stop = Lekaerts Tickets can be bought from a large number of outlets including newsagents and some supermarkets, and are valid on all three services. It is cheaper to buy tickets from other outlets rather than from the driver. There is an automated service, Go, which can be found in every metro station. In addition, airports have important local environmental impacts, mainly in the form of noise pollution and deterioration in air quality. Although noise nuisance in the vicinity of airports is recognized as an important problem of the urban environment which is often addressed by regulation, other environmental problems associated with aviation are less widely acknowledged. In the climate debate, the importance of which is rising, aviation has remained under the radar for decades. In the present paper, we use the case of Brussels Airport (Belgium) to demonstrate that the local perception of air travel-related environmental problems may be heavily influenced by the communication strategy of the airport company in question. Basing our analysis on publicly available data, communication initiatives, media reports, and policy documents, we find that (1) the noise impact of aviation is recognized and mainly described in an institutionalized format, (2) the impact of aviation on local air quality is ignored, and (3) the communication on climate impact shows little correspondence or concern with the actual effects.

    The #1bru1Vote Manifesto Also petition text Call for the right to vote in Brussels-Capital Region elections for all Brussels residents “One Brusseleir One Vote!” On 26 May 2019, as the Brussels-Capital Region celebrates its 30 years of existence, citizens of Brussels-Capital will vote to elect the assembly of this city-region – the Brussels-Capital Parliament. But not all residents of Brussels, or Brusseleirs, will be able to vote! 1 in 3 Brussels-Capital residents – or 415,000 people – are denied the right to vote, and are prevented from taking an active political role, because they are non-Belgian. These 280,000 European Union citizens and 135.000 citizens with other nationalities are second- class citizens in this city-region, since they are excluded from the democratic process. And yet they are Brusseleirs like everyone else—who live, love, work, study, pay taxes and contribute in so many ways to make Brussels-Capital a better home for everyone. These 415,000 Brusseleirs who are excluded, do not have a say on decisions that affect their day-to-day lives, such as mobility and public transport, urban planning and heritage, parks and green spaces, waste and recycling, infrastructure and public works, pollution and air quality, energy and sustainable development, family allocations and education as well as budget. It is true that all inhabitants of Brussels-Capital, regardless of nationality, can vote in local « communal elections ». But this is an insufficient right because it is fragmented across the 19 communes. While it is at the level of the Brussels-Capital Region, one of the three federal entities in Belgium, that Brusseleirs' life is really organized, and that significant decisions - and policy-making take place.

Coming from the Ring around Brussels, take the exit Zaventem Airport, and directly take the right lane. Take the exit A201 Evere – Zaventem, and follow the direction Evere. As soon as you get to the A201, take the first exit to Diegem Kantorenzone 2 (Diegem Industrie 2). At the crossroad go left, and drive under the viaduct, in the direction of Kouterveld – Hermes. At the roundabout take the first exit, in the direction of E40 Diegem – Hermes.
