The international conference is composed of plenary and keynote session, as well as a number of simultaneous meetings, round tables, oral presentations and posters rounds on different topics. The world congress is held biennially and lasts five days, whereof four days for scientific content and one day for social activities. The scientific event attracts approximately 1000 delegates from about 120 countries. The congress serves as an international forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on key issues in military medicine and disaster management, contributing towards promoting evidence-based cutting-edge healthcare at a national and global level. The congress motto is "medicine on the move", implicating the acceleration of medical multidisciplinary innovations to influence the growing need for patient-oriented, tailored and sustainable elucidations intended for a high-quality healthcare management. The access to evidence-based clinical practice/skills, medical high-technologies as well as effective electronic communication tools become increasingly important to preventing, diagnosing, treating and following up patients, moving toward integrated care.
