Dear Members and Friends of The Metropolitan Museum of Art,

Homer called it “the wine-dark sea,” but the original name for the Aegean was Archipelagos, the word now used to refer to its islands—and by extension, any chain of islands. Next summer, please join me aboard the incomparable Sea Cloud to explore these enchanting Greek isles. Immerse yourself in sun-drenched scenery and ancient marvels as our privately chartered vessel slips into small harbors and shallow bays to visit some of the most important sites of antiquity. This is as it was meant to be seen—traveling from island to island aboard an authentic sailing ship.
