DOI: 10.2478/srj-2020-0004 © Raptor Protection of Slovakia (RPS) Diet of the lesser kestrel Falco naumanni at post-breeding roosts in southern Albania Potrava sokola bielopazúrového Falco naumanni na pohniezdnych nocľažiskách v južnom Albánsku Anton KRIŠTÍN, Tomáš BĚLKA, David HORAL & Taulant BINO Abstract: The lesser kestrel is an insectivorous and migratory falcon species, frequently using communal roosts in the post- breeding period in southern Europe. Using pellet analysis from two post-breeding roosting sites in southern Albania collected in August 2017, we identifi ed 1539 prey items belonging to approximately 58 prey species, 20 families and 7 orders in 110 pellets from two sites. Invertebrates made up the major part of the diet spectrum (PNI = 99.8 %, PFI = 100 %). Invertebrate prey body size varied between 8 and 62 mm (mean 28.1 mm). Bush-crickets (Tettigoniidae) and locusts (Acrididae) were the most abundant and frequent prey groups (PNI = 33 % resp. 48.6 % and PFI = 97 % resp. 94 %). Within the bush-cricket family we could identify the species of genera Tettigonia, Decticus, Platycleis, Isophya and Metrioptera. The species of genera Calliptamus, Stenobothrus and Locusta belonged among the locust species identifi ed in the food. Birds and mammals were found in pellets only occasionally. The prey composition was rather similar at both studied sites, while locusts (Acrididae) were more abundant at the Jorgucat site and bush-crickets (Tettigonioidea) at the Mollas site in the same time. Prey groups Scarabeidae beetles and other beetles (Coleoptera other) were more abundant and frequent at Mollas than at Jorgucat, and spiders were more frequent at Jorgucat.

These phenomena require without doubt a proper administration of natural areas. Natural risks have accompanied the human being all his life, therefore the interest for preventing them have been active since the earliest times. By natural risks we mean those natural phenomena with harmful and considerable physical, economic and social consequences. Among them we mention geological risks (earthquakes etc) geomorphologic risks (slides, collapses, erosion) and climatic risks (flooding, long period droughts, frosts and fires) etc. On the other hand, environmental consequences have happened under the impact of social factors; they can be direct or indirect, short time or long time, reversible or irreversible ones. Beside the natural factors (climate, structure of land, inclined and high terrain, hydrographical network etc) we also underline interventions of human beings that have intensified the degradation of terrain in this area. 1. INTRODUCTION Hence, the main objectives of the study are the following: After a short presentation on the region's - to contribute to the identification of the geographical position, the authors analyse the situation natural conditions of the region under study to of the geographical environment, the risks and damages understand factors affecting natural origin in its observed under the influence of natural and human environment; factors.

Prediction of the structural behavior requires the development of a systematic material characterization of the mechanical properties and structural details (units, arrangement, bonding, inter-connection). This study aims to analyze the mechanical and physical behavior of building stones in the historical city of Gjirokastër, Albania, known also as the Stone City. A thorough investigation of the regional stone quarries was performed, and the collected samples were cut into regular prismatic specimens for further analysis. The experimental campaign consisted of the determination of flexural strength and compressive strength, water ab- sorption, porosity, specific gravity as well as structural analysis of the masonry material, using the Citation: Mustafaraj, E.; Luga, E.; MQI (Masonry Quality Index) method. The test results showed that there is a large scattering in the Corradi, M.; Borri, A.; Muceku, Y.; Zharkalli, A.

Kjo vjen jo vetem si pasoje e konfigurimit te territorit pas Reformes se re Territoriale, por edhe si pasoje e terrenit te veshtire malor, i cili perben nje nga sfidat kryesore per Bashkine dhe popullsine vendase. Ne nivel makro infrastruktura kryesore rrugore lidh Dropullin me qytetin e Gjirokastres, qendren e Rajonit Jugor te Shqiperise (rajon ne te cilin Bashkia Dropull ben pjese), me qytetin e Janines pertej kufirit, qe eshte dhe qender e Rajonit me te njejtin emer. Prof. Dr. Ferim Gashi2* Prof. Dr. Pal Nikolli1 2University of Prishtina, Prishtina, Kosovo 1University of Tirana, Tirana, Albania *Corresponding Author Doi: 10.36941/ajis-2020-0045 Abstract This paper attempts to identify ancient settlements in Albania by cartographic methods by elaborating geographical coordinates obtained from Ptolemy's work. The results of the paper are of interest for archeology, history, geography, geodesy, photogrammetry etc. The problem addressed is not simple, as for some settlements, different literature sources give different values of geographical coordinates. In this context, those geographic coordinate systems that best deal with the real position of these settlements are selected. Thus, for example, the longitude (L) of Ohrid (which serves as a support point), in some sources is given the value L1 = 46040 ', while in later sources it is given the value L2 = 470 40'. The calculations are performed for both cases of this longitude, but greater certainty is given when L2 = 47040 'is obtained, because the geographical longitude of Skopje (Scupi with L = 48030'), Prishtina (Ulpiana, with L = 48040 '), Peja (Siparantum, with L = 46030'), etc., are closer to reality than L = 46040 ', according to which Ohrid appears to be highly displaced to the west, in relation to the aforementioned sites (pic.
