Shakespeare Teaches, BAM Education & Humanities ' eight-week in-school course for educators and students deepens their understanding of Shakespeare and stimulates lively classes led by artists and scholars. The program will this year be based on Shakespeare 's light hearted comedy A Midsummer Night 's Dream . The workshops will encourage a fuller understanding of Shakespearean language and will explore the characterization of the players and the dynamics of the plot.

The department also is entering into its fourth year in collaboration with the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and the DanceAfrica program.
