1. Good places to hang out in town
Mejlgade is one street in Aarhus which I certainly would recommend to explore. There you can always find some live music concerts and cafes (Gyngen cafe for example). The Fair bar in Nørre Allé has also live concerts time to time.
2. Cool concerts and festivals to visit in Aarhus/Jylland
Festuge in Aarhus in the beginning of September, Aarhus Film Festival, Aalborg Carnival in the end of May.
3. Cheap lunch places in town
Near Klostertorv you can always find several kebab places with a reasonable price. I like Mikado Cafe (Sankt Clemens Stræde, next to the Magasin) which serve very delicious sandwiches.
4. Places/tourist attractions (museums etc.) worth to visit in Aarhus/Jylland
I would recommend to discover little towns in Jylland. A harbour town Ebeltoft in east coast of Jylland has a lovely old town. Vejle, south from Aarhus, is know for its forests and hills. Skagen in the very north of Jylland is very picturesque.
In Aarhus check out Botanical Garden and Aros Museum.
5. Do’s and don’ts in communicationg with danes
Don’t say you don’t drink beer.
Danes have rather black humour, so don’t take it personal.
Don’t accentuate their danish accent.
Danes are honest and they usually trust people, don’t misuse it.
Learn the word „hygge“ . It’s hard to translate it but it is similar to the word „cozyness“.

1. Good places to hang out in town
I generally find Sharks a nice place to hang out. It is a cozy downtown pool café where I hang out a lot with my friends.
2. Cool concerts and festivals to visit in Aarhus/Jylland
Starting off with the festivals, there are several great music festivals in the area. During Aarhus Festuge, there are a lot of music in downtown and most of it is all free. I would also recommend Skanderborg Festivalen (Smuk Fest), which is one of the largest annual music festivals in Denmark. It is located in Skanderborg, which is approximately 30 km south from Aarhus. Be warned though, the tickets are quite expensive!
These are the primary suppliers of tickets in Denmark http://www.billetlugen.dk www.billetnet.dk
3. Cheap lunch places in town
Of course you can always visit a pizza joint, but if you want a cheap lunch then go visit some of the small restaurants in Frederiksgade.
4. Places/tourist attractions (museums etc.) worth to visit in Aarhus/Jylland
There are a lot of places to visit in Aarhus. To name a few – Aros, Den Gamle By, Tivoli Friheden, House of the artists, Århus Urban Museum, Danish Museum of the Sciences.
5. Do’s and don’ts in communicationg with danes
Do's: Humor, humor and lot's of humor. Danes love a great laugh and black humor is also welcomed. Don'ts: Trashtalking about danish traditions (danes have a strong national feeling).
