The I, Pastor Cam, am looking for people with heart to spearhead three events this fall

and winter. Willing, energetic volunteers eager to help creatively attract new disci- ples to the ministries of Trinity. We are all disciples, not just the Pastor. We need at least one person for each project, but of course, the more the merrier, the easier the task. Below are the three events and a brief overview of each. Please text, email or call me if you want to assume a leadership role for one of

these projects.

Stephens City Ghost Walk Ghost Walk October 27, 10PM October 28, 8PM Walk Trinity's cemeteries and hear spooky stories. We need ticket takers, tour guides and ghosts. [P] The grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ; the love of God; and the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you all! [C] And also with you!

The Living Nativity The Living Nativity December 23, tbd

We've got an updated script for you: what if the Nativity occurred in 2017 on the streets of Stephens City? Again, script is written, we need recruitment, organization

We want eager volunteers, not those stepping up because of guilt.

But, I'm weary of asking for leadership of these events, so this is a "final call".

If no one is interested, we will scratch them from the calendar.

Today’s hymn is titled , Come, Holy Ghost, God and Lord , the tune name is Komm, Heiliger Geist , Herre Gott . It is a hymn for Pentecost. The first stanza was translated by Luther from the Latin se- quence, Veni Sancte Spiritus . Luther then added the remaining two stanzas and the double at the end. The music is from The Enchiridion which is the second Lutheran Hymnal. This hymnal was published in 1524 in two editions; one containing 26 songs and one containing 25. Of the total, Luther wrote 18. It is interesting to note that this hymnal used in church, was also used in homes and outings of the German people.
