Be Willing to Take the Phone Away school We provide these devices as long as they don’t cause problems. When they cause problems, we must take the device away. The bottom line is that we are the adults, T h e P r e - we are the leaders in the home and we pay for/provide these things for our kids. There is a remarkable history of kids getting cell phones taken away because they s c h o o l were abusing the privilege in some way and 1) Surviving the ordeal and 2) Being more P r e s s : responsible when they got the privilege back. We can’t wait to do more events like this with you in the future! This week our classrooms were Picture Page full of hands-on projects in preparation of Rosh Hasha- na! The 2s went to town with green paint this week! They painted their own hands and then finger painted a large piece of butcher paper. Their handprints were then cut into the shape of green ap- ples! It was a fun tactile experience for them that they were so proud of. Our 3s used watered down acrylic paint to make beau- tiful canvases for their Rosh Hashana candle- sticks. They finished off the project by hand mold- ing clay to form small con- tainers for candles! It will be a wonderful addition to the upcoming holi- day! Lastly, our 4s sponge painted apple placemats and used acrylic paint to make beautiful honey jars. They also learned the letters D and Dalet this week. They saw that the word “door” starts with “d” and in Hebrew the word for door is “delet” which starts with Dalet! It was so fun to see that they both started with the same sound! Wish- ing you all a healthy, happy, and sweet new year. Shana tova and Shabbat shalom!
