Eduard Kiprsky Pianist, Preisträger internationaler Wettbewerbe „Pianist mit Weltklasse-Potential“ schrieb enthusiastisch der Rezensent des ersten Soloabends, den Eduard Kiprsky 2011 im Rahmen der „Piano Extra“ Reihe in der Mercatorhalle in Duisburg gab. Dabei hatte sich der damals 24-jährige Russe bei diesem Konzert nicht auf seine „Leibstücke“ des russischen Repertoires verlassen, sondern mit Werken von Scar- latti und Haydn über Schumann bis zu Debussy und Albeniz stilistisch weit in den Westen vorgewagt, bevor er mit Liszt seine durchaus mit Raffinement eingesetzte Virtuosität auslebte. Eduard Kiprsky wurde am 26. Oktober 1986 in Leningrad (heute Sankt Petersburg) geboren. Er erhielt ab dem sechsten Lebensjahr seine erste musikalische Aus- bildung (Klavier, Violoncello und Chorgesang) an der Rostropowitsch-Musikschule und an der Glinka-Gesangsschule und setzte seinen Werdegang am Musik-Gym- nasium des Sankt Petersburger Konservatoriums im Fach Klavier bei Prof. Wolf sowie Komposition bei Prof. Ruschanskij fort. 2010 absolvierte er das Sankt Peters- burger Konservatorium bei Prof. Sandler und schloss 2011 auch sein Studium an der Folkwang-Universität der Künste bei Prof. Boris Bloch mit einem Diplom-Grad ab. Derzeit ist Kiprsky Aspirant für den Master-Grad an der Folkwang Universität der Künste bei Prof. Boris Bloch. Eduard Kirpsky ist Preisträger zahlreicher internationaler Wettbewerbe, darunter: _2003 Internationaler Stefan Seiler-Wettbewerb in Griechenland _2004 Internationaler Sergej Prokofjew-Wettbewerb in Kasachstan _2007 Georges Cziffra-Preis der Internationalen Sommerakademie Prag-Wien- Budapest _2009 Erster Preis beim Köhler-Osbar-Wettbewerb in Duisburg. Als Pianist feierte er bei Festivals sowohl in Russland als auch im Ausland stür- mische Erfolge, wie etwa in Italien bei den „Notte Musicale Modenese“ 2004, in Ös- terreich beim „Festival der Klänge“ 2009, in Deutschland bei der Reihe „Rund ums Klavier“ 2010 und 2012 beim Internationalen Liszt-Festival im österreichischen Raiding. Er arbeitete mit den Sankt Petersburger Philharmonikern, den Duisburger Philharmonikern, dem Arnheimer Het Gelders Orkest, dem Litauischen Kammer- orchester und anderen bedeutenden Klangkörpern zusammen. Wonhee Bae ´Uncommon musicianship, immaculate bowing technique and impeccable intonation…´ the Strad UK, Violinist Won-Hee Bae is a young international soloist consistently receiving critical praise and commanding a budding international reputation. She has performed as soloist with the Russian National Orchestra, the Philharmo- nie der Nationen, the Orchestra Filarmonica di Constantinescu di Ploiesti, the Phi- ladelphia Youth Orchestra, the Stanislavski Danchenko Theater Orchestra, the Jora Filharmonica di Bacau and the Seoul Philharmonic. In recital she has performed in the Großer Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg as part of the Salzburg Festspiele, Baden-Baden Philharmonie Hall, National Gallery London, V&A Museum London, Verizon Hall Philadelphia, on the Kumho Prodigy series, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Bing Theater, and at the Sejong Arts Center. Her performances have been heard frequently on radio broadcasts in Europe, Asia, and the United States on WQXR FM in New York, KMZT and KCSN in Los Angeles, Radio Suisse Romande, MDR Figaro Rundfunk Germany, ORF-1 in Austria, and the Sunday Showcase on WHYY in Philadelphia. She has also appeared in television broadcasts on Okayama station in Japan, the KBS and EBS networks in Korea, and ORF in Austria. Ms. Bae was recently named the 2012 Ocean Classical Award winner by the bank Hauck und Aufhäuser under the direction of Maestro Justus Frantz. She is a first prize-winner of the 26th Lipizer International Violin Competition in Italy and a top prize-winner of many major international competitions such as the Tchaikovsky International Competition for Young Musicians, Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum Preisträger, and the Johansen International Competition in Washing- ton D.C. An active chamber musician, she has performed at numerous venues in- ternationally including the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Beyeler Foundation in Basel, the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and the Martinue Hall in Prague. She has attended prestigious music festivals such as the IMAS festival in Switzerland under Maestro Seiji Ozawa, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Lübeck, Germany, and the Ravinia Festival Steans Institute for Young Artists in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated with the highest honour from the Royal College of Music, London with Dr. Felix Andrievsky as an Associated Board Royal Schools of Music Scholar and is currently studying with Prof. Boris Garlitsky in the Folkwang University of the Arts. Eduard Topchjan Eduard Topchjan is the principal conductor and artistic director of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Topchjan studied violin at the Yerevan Komitas Conservatory and went on to study conducting with Armenian conductor Ohan Durian followed by consultations from Sir George Solti, Claudio Abbado and Nello Santi. Topchjan started conducting in 1991 when with a group of his friends from the Yerevan Komitas Conservatory he created the Serenade Chamber Orchestra, later known as the Armenian Chamber Players. The group has performed at over 1000 concerts in Europe, winning prizes at various international competitions and relea- sing CDs on the Thorofon label. Eduard Topchjan made his debut with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000, when an orchestra composed of the Serenade Chamber Orchestra musicians and a group of leading APO musicians had an appearance at Bad Fussing Festival, Germany. The same year he was appointed as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the APO and started appearances with the APO in Yerevan and ab- road, interpreting the main symphonic repertoire as well as new compositions. In 2001, he appeared with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and in 2003, at the Bolshoi Theatre. In autumn 2006, the APO led by Eduard Topchjan participated in the 41st Interna- tional Music Festival Moravian Autumn held in Brno, Czech Republic and continu- ed the tour visiting also Prague, Bratislava and Nuremberg (Germany). In February 2007 the APO with Maestro Topchjan toured France and appeared in Nice, St. Etienne, Lyon, Valance, Marseille, Issy les Moulineaux, which was the culmination of the Year of Armenia in France. Topchjan is especially known for introducing music to both the orchestral and operatic repertoire. With this orchestra he has performed the operas Aïda, The Barber of Seville, Il Tabarro, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, Simone Boccanegra, Rigoletto, I Pagliacci and others. Eduard Topchjan has appeared with such artists as Steven Isserlis, David Geringas, Renato Bruson, Kim Kashkashian, Alexei Lubimov, Emmanuel Pahud, Bernd Glem- ser, Tibor Varga, François-Joël Thiollier, Bernard Ringeissen, Zoran Todorovich, Mischa Maisky, Boris Berezovsky, Sergey Khachatryan, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Sergei Babayan, Sahan Arzruni, Julia Fischer, Wolfgang Meyer, Sergey Larin, Hasmik Papi- an, Vladimir Chernov, Sergei Nakariakov, Catherine Manoukian and many others. As a guest conductor he appeared with many orchestras in Europe, among them the Frankfurt Opera, the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin, the Staats- philharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Romanian TV and Radio Orchestra, the Pasadena Symphony and the Kärntner Sinfonieorchester. He was Artistic Director of several festivals. Since 2007 he has been the principal conductor at the Yerevan International Music Festival, which is an annual event and hosts numerous world-known musicians. His large repertoire includes all epochs from baroque to contemporary music, symphonic works as well as the chamber orchestra repertoire and operas. Several pieces by composers from Armenia and abroad have been written for him and world premiered by him and his orchestras. In 2007 the Ministry of Culture of Armenia awarded him with the Meritorious Worker of Art title.
