Limited Brands Reports October Sales

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Limited Brands (NYSE: LTD) reported a comparable store sales increase of 3% for the four weeks ended November 2, 2002 compared to the four weeks ended November 3, 2001. Net sales were $615.2 million, an increase of 4% compared to sales of $591.7 million last year.

The Company reported a comparable store sales increase of 4% for the thirty-nine weeks ended November 2, 2002 compared to the thirty-nine weeks ended November 3, 2001. Net sales were $6.123 billion, an increase of 7% compared to adjusted sales of $5.730 billion last year. Adjusted sales in 2001 exclude sales from Lane Bryant, which was sold to , Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRS) in August 2001. Net sales for the thirty-nine weeks ended August 4, 2001 including Lane Bryant were $6.225 billion.
