Additional information comes from vital records of Community Registry Office. This grave list is published on the Alemannia Judaica website. Family history details were compiled in 2009 - 2011 by Rolf Hofmann together with Herbert Immenkötter. Of great help was Gernot Römer’s remarkable book “An meine Gemeinde in der Zerstreuung” (circular letters by Augsburg Rabbi Ernst Jacob 1941-1949) with family history details which otherwise we would not have been able to gather. This list is inevitably incomplete, it contains errors and does not cover all death cases of Augsburg Jewish families between the opening of the Augsburg Jewish cemetery (1867) and the liquidation of the Jewish community (ca 1940) because of limited available resources. However, there is a wealth of information on many Jewish families who then had lived in Augsburg - valuable for descendants, historians as well as genealogists. Obviously, there were a number of interments of people who had not died in Augsburg, which is why they were not recorded at Augsburg registry office. In those cases, family history details were difficult to determine - often it was impossible. A valuable source would have been the doctoral thesis of Augsburg historian and teacher Dr Hans Hirsch on the History of Jews in Augsburg, containing widespread family history research results, but so far this doctoral thesis has not yet been published and so was not available for our necrology. Besides this necrology there exists a grave list of Augsburg Jewish Cemetery at Haunstetter Strasse compiled by Yehuda Shenef from still existing grave inscriptions. This grave list goes beyond 1940 and contains further burials of the 1940s and later up to present times, as this cemetery is still open for burials. Yehuda Shenef’s grave list gives exact grave positions and is also published separately at Alemannia Judaica website, but it’s not part of this documentation as Yehuda Shenef decided to publish his own separate documentation.     Kommunalwahl Wahlcheck 2020 WER NIX FRAGT, BLEIBT STUMM! Kreisjugendring Forchheim 2 Kommunalwahl Wahlcheck 2020 Die Landrats- und Bürgermeisterkandidat/-innen standen wieder im Mittelpunkt des „Wahlchecks zur Kommunalwahl 2020“, einer Aktion, die der Kreisjugend- ring Forchheim – vertreten durch den amtierenden Vorsitzenden Thomas Wil- fling – zusammen mit den Kommunalen Jugendpflegerinnen Ursula Albuschkat und Stefanie Schmitt initiiert hat. Die Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten wurden mit einem persönlichen Brief ein- geladen, an der Befragung teilzunehmen. Hierfür wurden unter Beteiligung von Kindern und Jugendlichen Fragen gesammelt, die diese den Lokalpolitiker/-in- nen stellen wollten. Ebenfalls beteiligt waren die Delegierten der KJR-Vollver- sammlung als Vertreter/-innen der Vereine und Verbände. Zusammengekommen sind eine Vielzahl von Fragen, die Kinder und Jugendliche sowie Vereins- und Verbandsvertreter unseres Landkreises aktuell beschäftigen. Gemeinsam mit den Gemeindejugendpfleger/-innen der Städte und Gemeinden Ebermannstadt, Eggolsheim, Gräfenberg, Weißenohe, Hausen, Heroldsbach und Hallerndorf wurden acht Fragen ausgewählt, die stellvertretend für die vielen jungen Menschen im Landkreis Forchheim gestellt werden sollen. Bis Donnerstag, den 27. Februar 2020 bestand die Möglichkeit, die ausgefüll- ten Fragebögen an den KJR zurückzusenden. Die Ergebnisse aller Fragebögen wurden ungefiltert – also auch ohne Korrekturen – abgedruckt und sind seit dem 02. März 2020 unter www.kjr-forchheim.de der interessierten Öffentlich- keit zugänglich. Im Nachgang der Kommunalwahl 2020 möchten der Kreisjugendring und die Kommunalen Jugendpflegerinnen mit den gewählten Bürgermeister/-innen ins Gespräch kommen. Hierzu sind Besuche vor Ort geplant, um gemeinsam das The- ma Kinder und Jugendliche sowie die Jugendarbeit vor Ort zu beleuchten.     Die Gruppe Kultur und Soziales der Agenda 21 der Stadt Baiersdorf bietet mit ihren Stadt- führungen u. a. auch „Die sprechenden Steine“ an, einen Besuch auf dem israelitischen Friedhof: Diese Visite am „Guten Ort“, dem „Haus der Ewigkeit“ ist gut geeignet, „Die Steine zum Sprechen zu bringen“ , d. h. man kann sich dann die Geschichte der Baiersdorfer Juden besser vorstellen. Dabei fällt rasch auf, dass der Baiersdorfer Friedhof - viele Besonderheiten bietet, die ihn von anderen „Guten Orten“ des fränkischen Landjudentums unterscheiden. - Die Lage inmitten der Stadt , im Unterschied zu Friedhöfen vieler fränkischer Dörfer gilt nicht nur heute (s. modernen Stadtplan!). Schon seit dem Mittelalter - möglicherweise seit 1388 - befindet sich der Platz an dieser Stelle. Seit dem 17. Jh. war Baiersdorf außerdem Hauptort im Markgrafentum Bayreuth „unter dem Gebirg“ bis 1810. - So bescheiden heute die Größe von Baiersdorf aus- fällt, die Lage des jüdischen Friedhofs innerhalb des Ortes ist ein städtisches Merkmal . Die Lage hinter der Stadtmauer wird besonders auffällig, wenn man mit dem benachbarten protestanti- schen Friedhof vergleicht. Er liegt außerhalb seit 1720. - Der hiesige „Gute Ort“ kannte einen großen Ein- zugsbereich als Regional- friedhof : Die Grabinschriften zeigen dementsprechend die Herkunft der Toten aus Erlangen, Bruck, Büchen- bach, Forchheim, Dormitz, Kunreuth, Wiesenthau usw. an, d.h. aus ehemals markgräflichen, bambergi- schen oder reichsritterschaft lichen Territorien. Diese Tradition wurde im Königreich Bayern fortgeführt, wie z. B. an den vielen jüngeren Grä- bern von Forchheimern zu sehen ist. - Ausschlaggebend für das große Gebiet war dabei, dass Baiersdorf vor 1810 Landesrab- binat im Markgrafentum Bayreuth gewesen war (Manche sprechen auch von Oberrabbi- nat).

    New Hamburg-Nuremberg Block-Train Service Started by Vienna-based Roland Spedition Starting last week, Vienna-based Roland Spedition forwarders is running its own container-block-train service linking three Hamburg Container Terminals: CTA, CTB and EKOM/EUROGATE with the TRICON Terminal in Nuremberg. Initially, there are three weekly departures on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from Hamburg. The containers are available for collection at the TRICON Terminal in Nuremberg on Tuesdays from 10.00 am, Thursdays from 6.00 am and Fridays from 11.00 am. Nikolaus Hirnschall M.A. of Roland Spedition Vienna points out that block-trains for on-carriage from Nuremberg to Austria also transport empty containers to Linz, Enns, Vienna and Graz. “The round-trip service, Hamburg-Nuremberg-Austria-Hamburg, offers additional fast and environment-friendly transport capacity by rail on the Hamburg-Nuremberg leg, for import containers coming out of the Port of Hamburg en route to the economically- strong Nuremberg region. There is real interest in the new train showing its acceptance in the market place. With the service from Nuremberg to Austria, we additionally offer our customers cost-effective empty container positioning. Interested shippers can obtain a thorough briefing on the new train products and offerings from the Roland Spedition sales team,” explains Hirnschall. Bavaria is the most important partner for container hinterland transport for the Port of Hamburg. Its strongly export-oriented commerce exploits Hamburg’s dense network of liner services for global goods distribution. Almost every port in the world is reachable via Hamburg. Some 750,000 standard containers (TEU) were transported to/from Bavaria via Hamburg in 2015.

Space arrived in the 1950s. Denise Scott Brown Abstract: This Paper examines the “return to the surface” in the design of contempo- rary urban space: shunned by modernist thinking, this dimension has now reacquired importance and ... “relief”. The surface, horizontal and vertical, is no longer a space of capricious decoration. Landscaping, texture, colour, tactile, visual and audio effects are now structuring materials. They configure weak actions with strong effects. The soil, in particular, is the “skin” of public space, its face. Promenades, piazzas, widen- ings, crossroads, grow more complex in their performance and image, intensifying the experience of their use. They indicate specific functions, through a design of palimp- sests. They draw lines on the ground for team sports, trace maps for the installation of furnishings, host technological networks, bring light and air to underground spaces and incorporate lighting. Like façades, soils also multiply their layering to become complex technological and bioclimatic devices. For example, ventilated walls and “dry laid” paving. Or vertical screens, brise-soleil and silkscreened walls, rises and drops, undulations and level changes, technical floors, raised paving, plug-in grids, landscaped parterres: from the second screen to ... the second pavement!
