Saint Cecilia Church 535 Rhawn Street ~ Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Fifth Sunday of Easter May 19, 2019 FOCUS: We glory in the victorious love of Christ. All true love has its origins in God, who is love itself, and so the Christian believer must seek to love as God loves, and to share love as abundantly as God shares it with his creation. Love is the very hallmark of the Christian life. LITURGY OF THE WORD: Paul and Barnabas continue their travels, strength- ening the spirits of the disciples and giving an account of all that God has done with them. In the second reading, John foretells the restored creation where God will make his home among his people and wipe away all their tears. Jesus gives his disciples a new commandment to love one another.
