It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 34th Annual Ultimate Auction, Saturday Night Fever. For the past 24 years, I have had the privilege of watching the Ultimate Auction grow from its infancy into an enormous enterprise that directly benefits our students. This year is no exception! The countless hours of planning, laughter, and hard work will come to fruition this evening as our volunteers execute their well-laid plans.
To our dedicated and hard-working auction co-chairs, Lynn & Pete Olmsted and Amy & Vince Metzger, I say thank you. Their willingness to provide leadership to hundreds of Ursuline parents embodies the UA traditions of service, a willing spirit and cooperation. Their efforts, and the efforts of so many, ensure a prosperous and exciting auction. Our auction volunteers have invested a year in planning this wonderful evening, the results of which support Ursuline’s ability to fulfill its mission. Marla Hricovsky, our Auction Coordinator, along with Angela Brock, our Auction & Special Events Manager, has done a terrific job of assembling the many pieces of the auction puzzle.

Purpose of the Ultimate Auction
The Ultimate Auction is the largest annual fundraising event for Ursuline Academy. This evening of goodwill celebrates the spirit of the Ursuline Community. Tonight’s proceeds support student scholarships, tuition assistance, educational programs, and overall academic excellence that benefit every student. Auction funds significantly contribute to supporting Ursuline’s mission to prepare young women for college and beyond by nurturing her soul, intellect, heart and imagination. Ursuline students learn not for school but for life.

Dear Families and Friends of Ursuline Academy,
With “Saturday Night Fever” as the theme for the 34th annual Ultimate Auction, we are excited to take a trip back in time when disco was hip and bell bottoms were groovy. It’s not hard to imagine that an Ursuline student would be using lingo such as “far out” and “awesome” to describe herself during this psychedelic decade. So while we celebrate the 70s era this evening we are reminded just how far Ursuline Academy has come in the last 40 years.
Ursuline Academy is still considered the best of the best! The tradition of excellence can be found in academics, performing arts, athletics, and service organizations. For our daughters, opportunities to learn and challenge themselves are no different than they were years ago. Just like the women who came before them, our students know there are no boundaries to what they can achieve. So while we come together on this Saturday Night, let’s get our groove on and celebrate the past, present, and future of our Ursuline community.
Chairing the Ultimate Auction has been one of our most memorable experiences, and we are blessed to surround ourselves with all of you who have generously given your time, talent, and treasure to make “Saturday Night Fever” such an amazing evening…

1. The Live Auction will begin promptly at 7:30 pm, November 19, 2016, and continue until all items have been auctioned. 2. Payment by the successful bidder may be made 30 minutes following the sale of the item or at the end of the auction. Buyer may pay at one time for all the items purchased. Payment may be made with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Checks should be made payable to Ursuline Academy. Payment in full on the evening of the auction is required. 3. All sales are final. There will be no exchange nor any refund on items by the donors or Ursuline Academy except where specified, or unless the donor is unable to make full obligation as described. Please do not ask the donor for exchanges or refunds! 4. Items may be removed ONLY when a PAID receipt is presented. The value placed on items being auctioned are donors’ estimates and are not guaranteed by the auction committee for tax purposes or for general purposes. 5. Unless otherwise specified, dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and the buyer. 6. It is expected that all auction items will be removed from the premises on the evening of the auction unless special arrangements are made at the time of payment. 7. The high bidder will be acknowledged by the auctioneer. If the auctioneer determines that an opening bid or any bid is not commensurate with the value of an item offered, he may reject the same and withdraw the item from sale; and if, having acknowledged an opening bid, he decides that an advance thereafter is not a sufficient amount, he may reject the advance. The auctioneer retains the right to announce conditions of the sale at anytime. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer will have the sole and final discretion in the matter. 8. All items must be used within one year of the auction’s date unless otherwise specified. 9. Use only the paddle number assigned to you for bidding! 10. Upon winning an item, a student will greet you with an envelope and a celluar bidding representative will collect your payment information. TAX INFORMATION
