FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 22, 2017 Families Celebrate Father’s Day at Sawyer Point Talbert House celebration promotes active, committed fathers CINCINNATI— Greater Cincinnati families celebrated Father’s Day at Sawyer Point at Talbert House’s Seventh Annual Fatherhood Community Celebration. Thousands of individuals and families attended the free event featuring games and entertainment, arts and crafts, food and beverages, sports activities, and live music throughout the day. Talbert House thanks the many volunteers and generous sponsors, including Performance Lexus and Midland Atlantic Properties, who made this event possible and a great success. Food and beverages were supplied by Borden Dairy, Cincinnati Vending, Home City Ice, Kroger, LaRosa’s, Performance Food Service - Ellenbee, Skyline Chili, Sunny Delight, and United Dairy Farmers. The Home Depot provided crafts for children, and Shining Star AAU offered one-on-one basketball time with Dad. Music was performed by BACKDoor, The Black Ties, and Deuces Musik. Signing autographs were FC Cincinnati’s Aaron Walker and Mélé Temguia and former Cincinnati Reds players Ron Oester and Scott Williamson. Special guest appearances were made by Mr. Red and Mr. Redlegs, UC Bearcat, Who Dey and the BenGals, and Xavier’s Blue Blob. Talbert House is one of the leading advocates for promoting fatherhood. Talbert House’s Fatherhood Project assists men in their efforts to be responsible, committed and nurturing fathers and is funded in part by the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood and United Way of Greater Cincinnati. The event was co-chaired by John Silverman, Andrew Limke, and Taylor Uehlin. # # # # Talbert House is a community-wide nonprofit that operates within five service lines: Adult Behavioral Health, Community Care, Court and Corrections, Housing, and Youth Behavioral Health. Children, adults and families benefit from these proven services. Talbert House serves over 36,000 clients face to face and an additional 34,000 are reached through prevention services throughout Southwest Ohio. Talbert House’s mission is to improve social behavior and enhance personal recovery and growth. .

Carl H. Lindner, Jr. - Cincinnati Business Titan Passes Away at Age 92 October 18, 2011 12:10 PM ET CINCINNATI, Oct 18, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Carl Henry Lindner, Jr., innovative, self-made builder of businesses that employ thousands, generous philanthropist, loving husband, father and devout Christian, passed away yesterday, at the age of 92, from causes incident to age. He was surrounded by his wife, sons and other family members. At the time of his death, he was Chairman of the Board of American Financial Group, Inc., a major financial services company he founded in 1959. He was one of the most successful corporate financiers in the nation. Mr. Lindner was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1919, and the family moved to Cincinnati in 1930 when he was 11 years old. He developed industrious habits and a devotion to his community at a young age. Mr. Lindner dropped out of school at age 15, at the bottom of the Depression, and began working countless hours a day, delivering milk door-to-door while attending high school classes at night. In 1940, he opened an ice cream shop with his father, brothers and sister. Working with his family, he transformed the milk delivery business into what is now known as United Dairy Farmers, originally a milk and dairy store which launched Mr. Lindner's career as a self-made businessman and entrepreneur. Over the course of his distinguished business and investment career, Mr. Lindner held controlling interests in such notable organizations as Great American Insurance Group, General Cable Corporation, The Penn Central Corporation, Hanna-Barbera Productions, Kings Island Company, the former Taft Broadcasting Company, The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Cincinnati Reds, Chiquita Brands International Inc., and The Provident Bank.

No. 203 SPEAKER BATCHELDER - REPRESENTATIVE MAAG In memory of Carl Lindner, Jr. WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Carl Lindner, Jr., and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends; and WHEREAS, Carl Lindner left an indelible impression on the people whose lives he touched, and he will be remembered as a spirited individual who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. Among his endeavors, he was a selfless philanthropist and a successful entrepreneur, helping to expand his family's dairy business into the ice cream and convenience store chain that is known today as United Dairy Farmers. A lifelong businessman, he purchased Chiquita Brands International, the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, The Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper, and many other entities under the control of American Financial Group, of which he served as chairman, and he was listed among the world's most wealthiest people in the 2006 issue of Forbes Magazine; and WHEREAS, Carl Lindner's regard for improving the quality of life in our society was clearly evident in his personal sacrifices of time and effort to his family, friends, and community, and he will be remembered for his generosity, talents, and seemingly inexhaustible energy. FOOT TRAFFIC REPORT & DRIVING TRENDS for the fuel & convenience store industry 2017 YEAR IN REVIEW & 2018 FORECAST 2017 YEAR IN REVIEW & 2018 FORECAST GasBuddy and Cuebiq examined 121 million consumer trips to convenience and fuel retailers in 2017—with 35 million visits taking place between October 1 and December 31. This data provides insights into consumer behavior that will continue to be relevant throughout 2018. Highlights: Ricker’s Captures the Top Spot in 2017 The Indiana-based retailer edges out the competition for the highest ratio of footfall per station in 2017—nearly five times the industry average. Costco claims second place after capturing the top spot in Q4, and Meijer comes in a close third. Good Forecourt Lighting is Good for Business Throughout 2017, there was a strong correlation between overnight foot traffic and the quality of forecourt lighting. Stations near interstates with above-average outdoor lighting ratings on GasBuddy saw a 50% increase in foot traffic, during the hours of 9:00pm to 5:00am, when compared to those with below-average ratings. Visits were up in Q4 From Q3 to Q4 2017, visits to gas stations and convenience stores saw an uplift of 5.15%. Busiest Time of the Day An analysis of location data reveals that Friday at 12:00pm saw the highest average levels of foot traffic in 2017. Lunch hours were the busiest during the work week, and the morning commute was comparatively slower. GasBuddies Go Beyond the Pump McDonald’s narrowly edged out Subway to become GasBuddies' favorite quick-service restaurant of 2017, and Starbucks took the title over Dunkin' Donuts in the coffee shop category.
