FFASL (FIRST STEPS) FSONC allows anyone in the community to play as long as they meet the requirements to join that particular division

FFASL (FIRST STEPS) FSONC is a 501 c3 organization that provides amateur sports program for all ages while fostering a family oriented program. During Sports activities there is a possibility of injuries and we want to ensure every player in the program understands this risk.

FFASL (FIRST STEPS) FSONC has a no tolerance policy on unruly behavior. We will not entertain nor accept anyone that attempts to harm players, fans or staff members. These players will be asked to leave immediately from the facility. The game will not continue until they depart the venues and the premises. There have been altercations in the past and this will no longer be tolerated.

Flagrant EXPLAINED

There are two types of flagrant fouls that can result in automatic 2pts and the ball for the opponent, and possible suspension. Suspensions will be determined based off the incident.

Flagrant Foul 1 is contact that is considered unnecessary, and Flagrant Foul 2, in which contact is considered unnecessary and excessive. When a player commits a Flagrant Foul 1 twice, the player is ejected from the game. A Flagrant Foul 2 results in an automatic ejection. Players committing flagrant fouls 2 will be required to pay $20 on their next game in the division they committed the foul. We do not need anyone trying to hurt other player in the league. We stand our ground on this and it will not be tolerated. The decision will be made by the officiating crew if it deems to be a .

1) FLAGRANT FOUL WITH THE INTENT TO HURT THE PLAYER (personal foul) and possible ejection. 2) PUSHING A PLAYER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED (personal foul) (out of the game for 5min) 3) PLAYER THAT GETS PUSHED AND RETALIATES (personal foul)(out of the game for 5min) 4) PLAYER PUNCHES, KICKS OR ANY FORM OF VIOLENCE TO ANOTHER PLAYER (automatic ejection from the league) 2 Season suspension.

Also no player is allowed to step on the court when a fight breaks out, if they do the players or team is expelled from the league. Coaches must control their fans from coming on the courts as well. No fans or family members are allowed on the players’ bench. Only players that are participating in the game are allowed on the players’ bench. Especially at locations where it is tight already, fans and non-participant players need to be sitting in the designated areas especially at Allan Witt.

Absolutely no weapons of any kind allowed on the grounds of any venue. Anyone that uses one will be reported to the law enforcement. This includes items that dangerous enough to be considered a deadly weapon. This is mandatory and all fans and players must adhere to this rule.

If any altercation occurs and gets out of control, the police will be contacted to escort the player or fan involved out of the facility. All players must agree to follow all the league rules. If they refuse to, they will not be allowed to continue for the rest of the season and possibly be banned for playing in the future. Evidence could be used if the law enforcement request for it. Keep in mind you volunteer to play in the program, so we request that you respect the rules of the league and also the venues.

There is absolutely no smoking allowed on school premises. Any person that is caught smoking on school grounds will be asked to move it out to the designated smoking area if there is one, if not we apologize, however we cannot have anyone smoking on school grounds.

Please pick up after yourself. Players that bring their drinks, please ensure you police up after yourself. No open canned drinks are allowed in the venues. Bottled water or Plastic bottled drinks are allowed.

Any player that has two consecutive seasons with one of the incidents above will be expelled for one year and must request through the league director by submitting a letter of apology. If you feel this is too strict, then it would be best to not fall into any of these incidents.

Another area of concern is misconduct towards staff members and the officials. The officials are provided to ensure you are safe on the court and provide the best officiating as possible. Please note, they can’t see everything as there is a lot going on the court. They will do their best. The have the right to call a misconduct technical foul on any player shows any form of misconduct. Please refrain from profanity.

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the FFASL (FIRST STEPS) FSNOC,

I hereby voluntarily waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death, or property damage, which I may have or which may hereafter accrue as a result of my participation in said activity. I further agree to indemnify and to hold FFASL (FIRST STEPS) FSONC, including but not limited to NAPA Valley Unified School District, American Canyon High School, Solano Community College, Ray and Joan Kroc community center, Vacaville Unified School District, Vacaville Christian Schools, City of Benicia, Benicia Unified Community School District, Benicia Middle School, NORCAL Courts, City of Fairfield CA, and Allan Witt sports center free and harmless from any loss, liability damage, cost or expense which they may incur as a result of any injury and/or property damage that I may sustain while participating in the said activity. I also agree and will abide by all rules and regulations of the Organization. I have fully read the RULES OF CONDUCT and will comply with all rules. I understand if I fight I will be banned from the league.

BY SIGNING THIS WAIVER I AGREE TO THE BY-LAWS OF FFASL AND AGREE TO FOLLOW ALL RULES AND PROCEDURES.
