For winter the spatial concentration of recreation around ski resorts of Vanoise was highly impactful. Across both parks concerns about the expansion of winter activities are legitimate, especially for climate-sensitive species. We also showed the critical role of refuge areas in high valleys (summer) and lower slopes away from tracks (winter), highlighting threats from off-track practices.

Cette charte architecturale et paysagère a été portée par le Syndicat du Pays de Maurienne, pour regrouper l’ensemble des intercommunalités de la vallée qui se sont engagées le 27 mars 2009, sur différents objectifs. Aujourd’hui, le premier objectif de la charte a été atteint par la mise en place de six secteurs de consultance architecturale travaillant en synergie avec les intercommuna- lités, et la rédaction de cahiers d’architecture. Cette démarche territoriale va permettre à chaque commune et à chaque particulier de disposer d’un service coordonné de mise en valeur de son territoire en adaptant chacun des projets aux exigen- ces nouvelles, tant de préservation, de performance, d’innovation que d’intégration dans notre environne- ment naturel et bâti.
