P.O.Box-908,Darkhan-Uul- 45047,Mongolia 2Nasanjargal Darjaa, Mongolian National Association of Fruit and Berry.Ulaanbaatar city, Sukhbaatar district 1th Khoroo, Peace avenue 50, Azmon center,room number 503,Mongolia Abstract Seabuckthorn sub specie (Hippophae rhamnoides L. ssp mongolica Rous.) is distributed in confluence of Orkhon-Selenge and basins of Zavkhan Tes, Uvs Tes, Bukhmurun, Tortkhilog Buyant, Khovd, Zavkhan, Borkh and Bulgan rivers. Natural wild seabuckthorn’s permanent distribution is in the western part of Mongolia’s mountainous region of Altai, Khangai and at the Tes, Zavkhan and Khovd rivers with internal flow to Great Lake concave, which starts from Altai and Khangai ranges’ branch mountains and at the Bulgan and other rivers’ valley, which have an external flow. By natural and weather condition, Bulgan aimag is located in humid cool, Selenge aimag is in arid cool, Zavkhan aimag is in arid coolish, Govi-Altai and Khovd aimags are in very arid, Uvs aimag is in arid cool region, respectively. Soil humus was in 0-20 sm depth 1.1-2.3%, 20-40 sm depth 0.6-1.7% at the research area. Soil of Zavkhan river basin had lowest humus content (0.76-1.2%), this includes Mongolian sand area and areas with sandy soil. -

Page 28 Concept Introduction: Air passes have been used for over three decades by the airline and travel industries to facilitate travel within regions by offering a block of several one-way flights at a discount compared to buying the same flights separately. They are typically sold to tourists from outside the region planning a multi-stop itinerary. By selling a package of flights, often on several airlines, air passes can make travel within a region easier and more affordable, enabling tourists to visit more countries. While their overall track record is mixed, air passes have succeeded in the past at stimulating tourism in several regions, particularly regions that were suffering from high one-way air fares. In recent years one-way air fares have declined significantly in most regions, limiting the appeal of air passes. -

INFORMATION MEMORANDUM U.S.$5,000,000,000 GLOBAL MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAM THE GOVERNMENT OF MONGOLIA Under this U.S.$5,000,000,000 Global Medium Term Note Program (the “Program”), the Government of Mongolia (the “Issuer”) may from time to time issue notes (the “Notes”) denominated in any currency agreed between the Issuer and the relevant Dealer (as defined in “Subscription and Sale”). Notes may be issued in bearer or registered form (respectively, “Bearer Notes” and “Registered Notes”). The aggregate nominal amount of all Notes to be issued under the Program will not exceed U.S.$5,000,000,000 or its equivalent in other currencies at the time of agreement to issue. The Notes and any relative Receipts and Coupons (as defined herein), will constitute direct, unconditional, unsubordinated and (subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Notes (the “Conditions”)) unsecured obligations of the Issuer and rank pari passu without any preference among themselves and (save for certain obligations required to be preferred by law) equally with all other unsecured and unsubordinated debt obligations of the Issuer. The Notes may be issued on a continuing basis to one or more of the Dealers. References in this Information Memorandum to the relevant Dealer shall, in the case of an issue of Notes being (or intended to be) subscribed for by more than one Dealer, be to all Dealers agreeing to subscribe for such Notes. Approval in-principle has been granted for the listing and quotation of Notes that may be issued pursuant to the Program and which are agreed at or prior to the time of issue thereof to be so listed and quoted on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the “SGX-ST”). -

WORLD HERITAGE NOMINATION – IUCN TECHNICAL EVALUATION UVS NUUR BASIN (MONGOLIA / RUSSIAN FEDERATION) ID Nº 769 REV Background note: The IUCN technical evaluation of the Uvs Nuur Basin, nominated jointly by Mongolia and the Russian Federation in 1999, was presented to the 23rd extraordinary session of the Bureau in November 1999 (see Annex A). IUCN's evaluation noted that the site had the potential to meet natural criteria (ii) and (iv) but that the authorities should be requested to revise the boundaries from the 7.5 million hectares so as to exclude the 90% of the basin which currently has no protective status. IUCN also noted that "the existing 9 strictly protected areas (SPAs) do not adequately cover the wide range of ecosystems within this large site. In particular, the wetlands in the lower 60km of the Tes-Khem need to be part of a protected area which can extend northwards across the border to Tuva, incorporating semi-desert, steppe and the slopes of the Vostochnyi Tannu Ola range (mixed forest/steppe, taiga and tundra)." The Bureau decided to defer the nomination back to the States Parties to revise the boundaries and to prepare a joint management plan in a framework of transboundary cooperation. On 13 November 2001, the Mongolian and Russian Federation State Parties submitted additional information to the World Heritage Centre. This information included a map of the revised boundaries of the nominated area showing a serial site with 11 separate clusters encompassing 971,165ha. All of the nominated area had protected status, made up of two protected area groupings: (i) The Ubsunur Hollow State Biosphere Nature Preserve (Russian Federation) which is comprised of seven core areas totalling 258,620ha; and (ii) The Uvs Nuur State Nature Preserve (Mongolia) made up of four discrete sites covering 712,545ha.
