Comparison of confirmed cases by States

The number of confirmed cases in Benadir has decreased by 10 percent from 26th May to 9th June 2020, while Somaliland confirmed cases have increased by 6 percent. There were minimal changes for the rest of States as shown in Figure 3

Figure 4 shows that majority Female of confirmed cases are males 28% (1734) constituting 72%.

Figure 5 shows that has reported the COUNTRIES highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases (4278) followed by (2862) whereas the 27 least confirmed COVID-19 cases was reported by 379 Ethiopia (2156). 2156 85 SOMALIA 486 Somalia was ranked the third among its 2409 neighboring countries (2409). The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is the ratio between confirmed deaths and confirmed cases.

Based on the comparison of CFR in Somalia and its neighboring countries, Somalia reported highest at 3.5% deaths per 100 confirmed cases 3.5% 3.0% followed by Kenya 3% while Djibouti was the lowest only 0.7% per 100 confirmed cases as 1.3% shown in Figure 6. 0.7%

Figure 7 illustrates information on the trend of weekly confirmed COVID19 cases by Federal Member States, Somaliland and Benadir Regional Administration. Overall, Benadir region has declined drastically from early May to the last week of May (from 244 to 66 cases per week) and slightly increased again to 143 on the second week of June, while Somaliland cases increased throughout May and thereafter dropped from 129 cases per week to 117 cases per week on first week of June. There were no Significant changes for the rest of the states.
