SNCF, steam locomotive 140 C État 140-101 to 140-370 is a class of 2-8-0 steam locomotive of the Chemins de fer de l'État, and subsequently the Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF). The 340 locomotives were ordered in three series. The first series, 70 locomotives, numbered 140-101 to 140-170 were built in France by Schneider et Cie. at Le Creusot, SACM at Belfort, and Fives-Lille. These were built and were put into service in 1913. SNCF, steam locomotive 040 D Nord The Alsace-Lorraine Class G 8.1 was a superheated, goods train, steam locomotive with four driving axles, and was based on the Prussian G 8.1. There were no design differences between the two. The SNCF took over the G 8.1 as Class 040-D. The last G 8.1 in France was number 040-D-260, which was retired in 1966. TGV Sud-Est orange "Record Mondial 26.2.1981, 380 km/h" The SNCF TGV Sud-Est was a French high speed TGV train built by Alsthom and Francorail-MTE and operated by SNCF, the French national railway company. A total of 111 trainsets were built between 1978 and 1988 for the first TGV service in France between Paris and Lyon which opened in 1981. The trainsets were semi-permanently coupled, consisting of two power cars (locomotives) and eight passenger carriages. SNCF, TGV Duplex OuiGo Ouigo is a French low-cost high-speed train service headquartered in Marne-la-Vallée offering long-distance services on core routes of the French rail network, albeit mostly between secondary stations. SNCF, autorail EAD X 4300 and X 4500 The X4500 class are one of four classes of similar design (X4300, X4500, X4630, X4750) known as "Caravelles". This name comes from when built the engine sound reminded railwaymen of the contemporary French SE210 'Caravelle' jet airliner. X4500 are identical to the earlier Class X4300 except for having a different engine.
