Thisisto announce to the field that the schedule of the 2017Aklan Pro incial Athletic Meet will be on November 2 - 6, 2017 at the Aklan Sports Co plex. Calangcang, Makato, Aklan with the theme: "School Sports: Developin Skills, Promoting Peace, Uniting Local and ASEANCommunities." 2. The objectives of the Provincial Meet are to: a. promote physical education and sports as an integral part of the Basic Education for holistic development of the youth to become responsible and globally competitive citizens of the country; b. inculcate the spirit of discipline, teamwork, excellence, fair play, solidarity, sportsmanship, and other values inherent in sports; c. promote and achieve peace through sports; d. widen the base talent identification, selection, recruitment trai ing and exposure of elementary pupils and secondary students as well as Paralympic athletes to seNe as athletes' roster to the Nati nal sports Associations for international competitions; and e. provide a database that will serve as basis to further improve' the school sports development programs. 3. There are six (6) competing units in this year's meet. The competing units are the following: Unit I - Altavas, Batan and New Washington Unit 11 - Bongo, Balete, Libacao and Madalag Unit III - Lezo.Malinao, Makato and Numancia Unit IV- Buruanga, Malay, Nabas and Tangalan Unit V - Kalibo I and Kalibo 11 Unit VI - Ibajay Eastand Ibajay West 4. The competing unit official colors are the following: Unit I - Dominant calor: Royal blue with Gold and White Unit 11 - Dominant calor: Aqua Blue with White and Black Unit III - Dominant calor: Maroon with Gold and Yellow Unit IV- Dominant calor: Gold with White and Black Unit V - Dominant calor: White with Yellow and Blue Unit VI - Dominant calor: Green with Yellow ~ I ~, \ 5. There are three (3) sports categories to be played, namely: Regular ports, Demonstration Sports,and Paralympic Sports. 6. The demonstration sportsare Aerobic Gymnastics, Pencak Silat,and Sport. 7. To ensure the proper evaluation and accreditation of athletes', coo hes', I1 assistant coaches' and chaperons' credentials there will be an orientation of the Division Screening and Accreditation Committee (DSAC) on Sat rday, September 30, 2017 at Arthur S. JUQ(ja Hall, Division Office, Kalibo, Aklan t 8:00 o'clock in the morning. The chairmon/members of the DSAC and only ne (1) participant from each district are required to attend. 8. The deadline of the submissionof credentials will be on October 1 ,2017 for UnitsI, 11,Ill,V, VI. However, Unit IV can submit until October 23,2017 onl . 9. Technical officials who have been accredited by DepEd or their resp ctive NSA'sshall be given preference to officiate in the Provincial Meet. 10. The Olympic Medal System shall be applied to determine the ?verall champion and rankings. ! I 11. Consistent to DepEd's existing policies and guidelines in resolving protest on game technicalities of any sports event and protest on eligibility, complaints should be in written form, duly sworn affidavits of witnesses and/or eviderce to support the same and shall be filed before the start of the second gamelof the concerned team. 12. The Clean, Green and Eco-Friendly Policy which is being implemented during the Palarong Pambansa shall be adopted, enjoined and adhered to. 13. Grades of pupil/student-athletes who will be participating in 0/1 levels of sports competition shall be given due consideration for the absences that they will incur during training sessionsand in competition proper. They are competing I and representing their school, district, and unit; hence, deserve the necessary academic support from the school authorities by arranging make-up/remedial classeswhich may include Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to ensure that they can cope with their lessonsand subject area requirements. I 14. All schools are encouraged to organize a School Based-Sports prog~am; video presentation of sports activities/athletes who excel in sports in your district, unit and/or any higher competitions like Palarong Pambansa/lnternational Games; and database on the athletes' record to tract our Aklanon athletes. This. will be monitored through the Division/Regional In-charge of Sports, i Division/Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Team, and Field Technical Assistance Division. 15. As per advice by the Regional Office, every unit must create a tea of sportsjournalists to create a Unit School SportsPublication. The publication n must be agreed upon by the members of the unit. Thisyear, there will be a co test on the Bestin SportsPage, Bestin Editorial Page, Bestin News Page, Bestin La out, and BestSchool SportsPublication in partnership with the DivisionElementary and Secondary School Paper Advisers,Association (DESSPAA).Details on this section will be issued through a DivisionMemorandum. ,I !j i 16. To make our Provincial Meet more colorful. there will be a Division Contest I on Best Unit School Sports Jingle. The unit may opt to use the jingle during the I "saludo" and will be used during the awarding ceremonies. Details on this section 11 will be issued through a Division Memorandum. 11 17. School officials and teachers who will serve in the 2017 Aklan Provincial I! li'I Athletic Meet as accredited technical officials or members of the different li working committees shall be granted vacation leave credits pursuant to the provisions of DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003 entitled "Updated Guidelines on Grant of Vacation Service Credits to Teachers" and other existing Department of Budget and Management (DBM) /Civil Service Commission (CSC) laws. 18. Expenses incurred by athletes, coaches, assistant coaches, chaperons and DepEd officials in the attendance and in the conduct of these activities are chargeable against local funds or any other sources of funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 19. Report No. 3 – Population, Land Area, and Population Density is among the series of publications that present the results of the POPCEN 2015. This publication provides information on the population size, land area, and population density by region, province, highly urbanized city, and city/municipality based on the data from population census conducted by the PSA in the years 2000, 2010, and 2015; and data on land area by city/municipality as of December 2013 that was provided by the Land Management Bureau (LMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Also presented in this report is the percent change in the population density over the three census years. The population density shows the relationship of the population to the size of land where the population resides.

Consistent with energy stacking strategy where households use a combination of traditional and modern energy sources, this paper finds that households use multiple energy sources in different weather fluctuation scenarios. It also finds that weather variability has the highest effects on the electricity consumption of balanced and female-majority households that are female headed and in rural areas.

Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgement the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.” Reflections: The people of Jesus time were looking for a sign from God that God still loved them. Jesus did not give any sign except a sign that they should turn away from their sins and remember the Gospel. Just as Jonah preached repentance to the people of Nineveh. In our lives also in this time, many of us also seek signs that God still cares and loves us. Yet, it is the sign of Jesus, God becoming man and offer his very life for us is the sign which we shall receive. It is in giving of yourselves for the love of others and God that this sign shall truly till your life with happiness and joy.
