This species is also a nuisance due to overwintering in human- made structures. Species invasions present a major environmental challenge due to their negative impacts on biodiversity, natural and agricultural ecosystems, and human health. Climate warming increases rates of invasion, but the field lacks a full understanding of the processes generating this pattern. To mitigate the negative effects of warming-facilitated invasions, we must understand the role that temperature plays in invasion success. A critical component of this agenda is to understand the effects of temperature on the invasion of ectothermic species in particular, as a large proportion of high-impacting pest and pathogen invaders are ectotherms. A successful invasion requires that an invader colonize the thermal environment, as well as establish into the biotic environment, the latter of which exposes the invader to competitive and ii antagonistic interactions with native residents. Because temperature affects both invader colonization and establishment, ectotherm invasions represent a complex interplay between temperature, invader persistence, and biotic interactions. Here we develop a conceptual framework for predicting the outcome of such complexity. The framework links the thermal environment to ectotherm population dynamics and interactions through impacts of temperature on life history and interaction traits. -

It is made available under aCC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 International license. 26 Abstract 27 The ancient insect order Hemiptera, one of the most well-studied insect lineages with 28 respect to bacterial symbioses, still contains major branches which lack robust phylogenies and 29 comprehensive characterization of associated bacterial symbionts. The Pyrrhocoroidea 30 (Largidae [220 species]; Pyrrhocoridae [~300 species]) is a superfamily of the primarily- 31 herbivorous hemipteran infraorder Pentatomomorpha, though relationships to related 32 superfamilies are controversial. Studies on bacterial symbionts of this group have focused on 33 members of Pyrrhocoridae, but recent examination of species of two genera of Largidae 34 demonstrated divergent symbiotic complexes between these putative sister families. -

Our organization is committed to using adaptive management to protect native biodiversity and ecosystem health. To that end we develop and test best practices, model effective science-based open space management, and distribute our findings throughout our community. The purpose of this plan is to summarize these practices and support the collaborative, iterative, and ongoing efforts required for truly adaptive land management. Se estudiaron el ciclo de vida y la distribución temporal de Stenomacra marginella (Herrich-Schaeffer). Adultos y ninfas fueron recolectados como parte de un estudio sobre la biodiversidad de hemípteros en ambientes contrastantes de la cuenca de Cuitzeo, Michoacán. Se describen e ilustran en detalle todos los estadios de vida, incluyendo notas sobre su biología, fenología y plantas huéspedes. Palabras claves: chinches, fenología, Michoacán, diversidad. Abstract. The life cycle and temporal distribution of Stenomacra marginella (Herrich-Schaeffer) were studied. Adults and nymphs were collected as part of a project to study the Hemiptera diversity in contrasting environments in the Cuitzeo Basin, Michoacán. All life history stages are illustrated and described in detail, and notes on biology, phenology, and host plants are included. Key words: bugs, phenology, Michoacán, diversity. Introducción acerca de su biología, plantas huéspedes y su distribución en México. El género Stenomacra Stål fue revisado por Brailovsky y Mayorga (1997). Se reconocen 8 especies, de las cuales Materiales y métodos S. marginella (Herrich-Schaeffer) es la única registrada de México.
