VEHICLE OPERATION AND CARE

Considering the investment you have made in your custom vehicle, we know you will want to operate and maintain it properly. We urge you to follow the FACTORY MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS contained in your original equipment owner’s manual. We also encourage you to follow the Custom Component Maintenance Schedule for SCA Performance installed parts, which can be found on Pages 4-5 of your SCA warranty manual.

NOTE: Lack of maintenance, as recommended by the OE/SCA Owner’s Manuals, may result in damage to your custom vehicle.

If you have specific questions on how to keep your custom vehicle in good working condition, see your dealer or contact SCA Performance for instruction. You can rely on your dealer to use proper parts and practices.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR RECORDS

We recommend that you retain receipts covering performance of regular vehicle maintenance. Repairs required due to damage resulting from lack of maintenance are not covered under your warranty. Receipts can be very important if a question arises as to whether a malfunction is caused by lack of maintenance or a defect in material or workmanship. We suggest you keep these receipts in the glove box literature packet.

CUSTOM CARE INSTRUCTIONS When cleaning your custom , use ONLY mild soap and water with a non- abrasive cleaning tool. NOTE: The chemical properties found in many acid based cleaners (degreasers, etc.) can react adversely with the finishes/clear coats on your custom wheels, potentially causing irreversible damage. **Please take careful consideration when choosing the products you clean your custom wheels with.

GUIDELINES Each original manufacturer has published its own set of Customer Satisfaction Guidelines. These guidelines contain assistance procedures that will usually answer questions or concerns with the sale of your new vehicle. However, SCA PERFORMANCE has the same assistance responsibility as the original manufacturer. We make every effort to build a conversion of the highest quality. If your concerns have not been resolved follow the following steps:

No. 1 Explain your concerns to the Service Manager. Normally, it will be resolved at this level of management. However, if you feel more satisfaction is needed, contact the General Manager or Dealer.

No. 2 When the dealership management has been contacted and your concern remains, contact SCA PERFORMANCE.

NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFTEY ADMINISTRATION (NHTSA) BULLETIN NUMBER 575.6(a)

If you believe that your vehicle has a defect which could cause a crash or could cause injury or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying your conversion company. If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defects exists in a group of , it may order a recall or remedy campaign. Refer to your Vehicle Warranty, provided by the chassis manufacturer, for their full explanation of your vehicle and chassis warranty coverage. WARRANTY APPLIES This warranty applies only to this vehicle registered in the United States.

REPAIRS COVERED Authorization must be obtained.

SCA Performance, at our discretion, may elect to perform repairs at our factory located at: 7769 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, AL 35173.

This warranty covers repairs to correct any conversion defect related to materials and workmanship that occur during the specific warranty period that applies. Needed repairs will be performed using only new or repaired parts, supplied by and at discretion of SCA Performance.

WARRANTY PERIOD The warranty for all coverage begins on the date purchased, as entered on the Warranty Registration Form at first delivery, and ends at the expiration of the coverage period.

COMPONENT PARTS Electronic personal conveniences may have been added as part of the conversion, such as radio, TV, games, auxiliary lighting, etc. but not limited to these. The warranty coverage period is 3 years \ 36,000 miles.

NOTE: Please refer to the Factory Operating Instructions for each of these added conveniences for full fan and enjoyment. These operating instructions are located in the SCA Performance delivery packet.

Page 10 CUSTOM VEHICLE WARRANTY WHEELS Normally, your Wheel Warranty will be covered by the original manufacturer. However, some models require specifically manufactured wheels to enhance the beauty and/or functionality of your custom vehicle. When these special wheels are added to the conversion, your 3/36 Bumper-to-Bumper coverage will apply, and the following damages listed below and under WHAT IS NOT COVERED also apply. • Damage due to accident, misuse, or alteration. • Damage or corrosion due to environment, chemical treatment, or after- market products. (See Custom Component Maintenance Schedule, p. 4) • Damage caused by lack of maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer. (See Custom Component Maintenance Schedule, p. 3) NOTE: SCA Performance recommends you rotate and balance wheels and tires every 6,000 miles.

CUSTOM PAINTING To enhance the conversion’s exterior, custom painting may have been added and is covered by the 3 yr. / 36,000 mi. warranty in the event of a defect in the custom paint. SCA Performance will require up to 30 days for repairs and reserves the right to select the place of repair to include our facility at 7769 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, AL 35173. ENGINE COMPONENTS/TUNING

Aftermarket engine components and/or SCA Performance proprietary tuning may have been installed on your custom vehicle. The warranty for these items is 3 yr. / 36,000 mi. for construction/workmanship and/or product defect.

NOTE: If vehicle is driven after SCA Performance certified tune has been modified or removed, this action voids warranty. SUSPENSION LIFT/LOWER

A suspension lift/lowering system may have been added to your custom vehicle. The warranty for this product is 3 yr. / 36,000 mi. for construction/workmanship and/or product defect. Important factors to note concerning your suspension lift/lowering system are as follows: (Cont. on Page 12)

• The GM 1500 trucks no longer have torsion bars. • The GM 1500 truck’s new front strut suspension is not adjustable. • 35” tires or 325/65/20 are the maximum recommended tire size for 6” lifted trucks. • Ball joints need to be lubricated every oil change. • Ball joints, tie rods and idler arm should be checked every 2500- 5000 miles for wear. Replace as needed. • Vehicle tires need to be rotated every 6,000 miles. • Vehicle should be aligned every 15,000 miles or as needed. Align to factory specifications. • The track width of the truck cannot be changed. The extra width you get with the lift adds stability. • The load capacity of the vehicle is not altered by the lift kit. • Factory suspension and steering geometry are maintained with the addition of an aftermarket suspension lift/lowering system, and system should not cause excessive factory parts wear.

3 YEAR / 36,000 MILE WARRANTY The warranty covers repairs to correct any conversion defect related to construction and workmanship that occur during the SCA 3 yr. / 36,000 mile warranty. Needed repairs will be performed using only new or repaired parts, supplied by and at the discretion of SCA Performance.

COMMERCIAL USE Use of this conversion on this vehicle for commercial or rental purpose is not covered, and will void this warranty in its entirety. DAMAGE DUE TO ACCIDENT, MISUSE, OR ALTERATION Damage caused as the result of any of the following is not covered: • All off road activities • Collision, fire, theft, freezing, explosion, riot, vandalism or objects striking the vehicle, scratches, or road hazard. • Misuse of the vehicle, reckless driving, over curbs overloading, racing or other competition. • Alteration or modification to the conversion or components after final

assembly.

NOTE: 1. Coverage does not apply if the odometer has been disconnected or mileage has been altered. 2. This warranty is void on the conversion if the vehicle is previously titled as salvaged, scrapped, junked, or totaled.

DAMAGE OR CORROSION DUE TO ENVIROMENT, CHEMICAL TREATMENTS OR AFTER-MARKET PRODUCTS Damage caused by airborne fallout (acid rain, chemicals, tree sap, etc.) Stones, Acts of God, hail, earthquake, flood, windstorm, lightning. Damage due to the application of chemicals or sealants ARE NOT COVERED. See your vehicle factory warranty for details on chemical paint spotting. DAMAGE CAUSED BY LACK OF MAINTENANCE Damage caused by lack of MAINTENANCE is the conversion owner’s responsibility and IS NOT COVERED. It is necessary to perform periodic MAINTENANCE on your conversion, such as is recommended by the owner’s manuals of electronic equipment, cleaning and polishing recommendations by custom wheel manufacturer, etc. We recommend you keep record and receipts should questions arise about MAINTENANCE.

MAINTENANCE Conversion parts, such as items requiring replacement or repair from routine wear, use, and exposure are not covered. EXTRA EXPENSES Economic loss or extra expense, contingent liability is not covered. Examples include: • Loss of vehicle use • Inconvenience • Loss of revenue • Storage • Telephone expense • Payment of loss time or pay • Vehicle rental expense • Lodging, meals, gasoline, travel costs, or any other contingent losses

OTHER TERMS: This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state-to-state.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the following limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN BEHALF OF THE WARRANTOR AND NO ONE ELSE, AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES AND SUPERSEDES ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS, AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, AND REPRESENTATIONS, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, FROM THE DEALER, THE WHOLESALE DEALER OR WARRANTOR. THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN SOLELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER AND NONE OTHER, AND THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER BY ACCEPTING THIS WARRANTOR’S WARRANTY AGREES TO RELY SOLELY THEREON. NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO CHANGE THE TERMS OR CONDITIONS OF THIS WARRANTY.

CHEMICAL PAINT SPOTTING There are areas of the country in which certain conditions can create chemical fallout (Acid Rain). These pollutants can fall upon the surface of your truck and attack the paint.

Your original manufacturer has a specific warranty explanation covering your vehicle’s painted surfaces. Please have a thorough understanding of this warranty at time of delivery.

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ALTERATIONS The original manufacturer, from time-to-time, appoints certain conversion companies to make authorized alterations to their new chassis. These original equipment alterations have been authorized and accomplished by us and are covered under the 3/36 Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty.

PAINT, TRIM AND APPEARANCE ITEMS We perform a comprehensive final inspection to each new conversion. Flaws to conversion custom paint, trim, upholstery or other appearance items are normally detected and corrected at that time. However, if you find a conversion paint, trim, or appearance item that concerns you, advise your dealership immediately. Deterioration due to use, wear, road hazard and exposure is not covered by our warranty.

NOTE: Periodic MAINTENANCE is required to care for these conversion appearance items.

PRE-DELIVERY SERVICE Pre-delivery service is completed by your authorized factory service center to repair defects or damage to the mechanical, electrical, sheet metal, paint, trim, and other components of the vehicle while it is being originally shipped to the dealership.

PRODUCT CHANGES Warrantor reserves the right to make changes in design, material, components, etc., in its products without incurring any obligation to make the same or similar changes on products previously manufactured, advertised and/or sold.

SPECIAL BODY ALTERATIONS We may make minor alterations to the vehicles or chassis. These minor alterations may include, but not limited to, the installation of parts, the disconnecting/reconnecting of original manufacturer equipment.

WARRANTY REPAIRS-COMPONENTS PARTS We make every effort to keep your conversion serviceable and in your use. We may exchange the component part needing repair with new, re- manufactured, reconditioned or repaired parts. All components part exchanged are warranted as new components. Examples of components are: TV, CD player, DVD, BLU-RAY, etc.

WARRANTY SERVICE-UNITED STATES During the course of our Conversion Warranty coverage, we recommend repairs be accomplished by the selling authorized factory franchised dealer. The dealership has your records and, like us, has your best interest at heart. However, on trips or moving, contact SCA Performance for an authorized repair center or authorization must be obtained before any repairs begin.

Warranty

SCA Performance (“Warrantor”) warrants to the original retail purchaser each part of each Conversion sold by a Selling Dealer, which parts are not covered by Selling Dealer’s or Original Equipment Manufacturer’s warranty, to the original retail purchaser to be free under normal use and service defect in material and workmanship for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle. Stereo, television or any other part expressly warranted by an Original Equipment Manufacturer, are not warranted by Warrantor since they are covered by the warranties from their respective manufacturers upon which the original retail purchaser agrees to rely exclusively and pursuant to which appropriate adjustments will be made by the respective manufacturers through their representatives. Warrantor’s obligation under this warranty is limited to replacement or repair of, at the Warrantor’s plant, 7769 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, AL, such parts as shall be actually defective. This warranty shall not apply to any part of any Conversion that has been subject to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident, or which shall have been altered or repaired by other than an Authorized Dealer. THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN BEHALF OF THE WARRANTOR AND NO ONE ELSE, AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES AND SUPERSEDES ANY WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS, AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, AND REPRESENTATIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, FROM THE DEALER, THE WHOLESALE DEALER OR WARRANTOR. This warranty is given solely for the benefit of the original retail purchaser and none other, and the original retail purchaser by accepting this Warrantor’s Warranty agrees to rely solely thereon. No one is authorized to vary or change the terms or conditions of this Warranty.

THERE SHALL BE NO LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

1. Any parts or items not added to the Conversion by Warrantor, or covered by separate warranty given by the Selling Dealer or the Original Equipment Manufacturers. 2. Loss of time, inconvenience, or loss of use of vehicle or other consequential damages.
