Day 1: Friday, JANUARY 11TH | OVERNIGHT FLIGHT TO ITALY

Day 2: SATURDAY, JANUARY 12TH | ROME

Arrive in Rome and meet your Italian Tour Manager. Transfer by private motor coach to Rome. Celebrate an opening Mass at St. Peter in Chains , followed by opportunity to see the chains that imprisoned St. Peter and ’s famous sculpture of Moses. Enjoy a celebratory group Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3: Sunday, January 13th | Ancient Rome Tour | St. Sebastian Catacombs

Celebrate Mass this morning at Santa Maria Sopra Minerva. Then, experience a tour of Ancient Rome, the Coliseum, Capitol Hill, the Vittorio Emmanuel Monument (wedding cake), the Roman Forum, and . Visit the St. Sebastian Catacombs and see the 4th century catacomb burrows underground on four levels, the burial site of many early Christians. Enjoy an evening of leisure with time to explore the city. Overnight in Rome.

Day 4: Monday, January 14TH | St. Peter’s Basilica | Vatican Museum &

This morning, celebrate an early morning Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica (pending confrmation). After Mass, take a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo’s magnifcent fresco of the Last Judgment. Group dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Rome.

Day 5: Tuesday, January 15th | Assisi Excursion

Depart to Assisi for a full day tour. Upon arrival take a guided tour of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and pray in the Porziuncola, the headquarters of the Franciscan Order, where Christ and the Virgin Mary visited St. Francis in 1216. Then, enjoy a walking city tour of Assisi to see the art, architecture and serenity of this Umbrian town. Start at the Basilica of St. , with the opportunity to pray at the tomb of St. Francis. Visit the Church of St. Clare to see her tomb and the San Damiano Cross that spoke to St. Francis and led him to a life of piety. Conclude the tour by celebrating Mass at Chiesa Nuova, the birthplace of St. Francis. Enjoy lunch at a local winery. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to explore Assisi with its quaint shops. Return to Rome for dinner on your own and overnight.

Day 6: Wednesday, January 16tH | Papal Audience | Christian Rome Tour

Early departure to attend the Papal Audience (pending the Pope’s fnal schedule.) Afterwards, depart for San Silvestro in Capite, which contains a of St. John the Baptist, to celebrate Mass. Then, depart for a Christian Rome Tour, including St. Mary Major and John in Lateran, which is the Cathedral of Rome. See the Holy Steps climbed by Christ in Jerusalem and the Basilica of the Holy Cross where some of Christianity’s most important are housed, including a piece of the True Cross. The last visit will be to St. Paul’s Outside the Walls. Evening free to explore La Dolce Vita! Dinner on your own. Overnight in Rome.

Day 7: Thursday, January 17th | Anniversary Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran | Scavi Tour

Enjoy a morning of leisure with the opportunity to either sleep in, do last minute shopping or embark on an optional walking tour to visit the , , and Pantheon. In the afternoon, the group will have the opportunity to visit the excavations below St. Peter’s Basilica culminating at the tomb of St. Peter (Scavi Tour; pending confrmation). Tonight, in honor of the anniversary of St. John the Baptist there will be a celebratory Mass at the Major Basilica of St. John Lateran followed by a special Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 8: Friday, January 18th | Return FLight to USA

This morning, check out and depart for the airport for your returns fight home.
