Our research has primarily focused on: 1) novel hosts designed to probe the hydrophobic, Hofmeister, and Reverse Hofmeister effects, and; 2) designing supramolecular capsules as yocto-liter reaction vessels and separators. Current efforts to probe the hydrophobic and Hofmeister effects include studies of the supramolecular properties of proteins.
