Two museums - the Paula Becker Modersohn Museum and the Roselius Museum - attract people interested in art and culture, while various restaurants, galleries by Jürgen Howaldt and the Atlantis cinema offer visitors the opportunity to eat, drink, shop or watch a film. This medieval harbour was recently given a face-lift, and is now a mooring point for pleasure boats and features several historic ships, like the reconstruction of a Hansa cog (the original can be by Jürgen Howaldt seen in the Bremerhaven Shipping Museum).
