Consequently, investors and consumers have lost confidence at global level. The actual GDP of advanced economies has therefore dropped by 7.50% in the last quarter of 2008. Forecasts for 2009 show a 1.30% reduction in the GDP and a gradual recovery for 2010, with growth of 1.90%. The US economy has possibly been that which has most suffered the consequences of the growing financial tension and the ongoing slow down of the construction sector.
