Pare che la contessa Bolognini fosse addirittura l'amante del re Umberto I; Edificato nel ‘500, il Palazzo fu residenza di alcune tra le più importanti famiglie milanesi, tra cui i Villa che nel corso del XVIII secolo fecero eseguire sull’edificio numerosi interventi, conferendogli l’impronta rococò, che tuttora lo caratterizza. Nei primi anni del XX secolo la dimora, che allora apparteneva alla famiglia De Cristoforis, fu acquistata dai coniugi Gian Giacomo Morando Bolognini e Lydia Caprara Morando Bolognini, che riempirono le sale con un’ampia collezione di arredi e dipinti. (dia 3) La Contessa Lydia, rimasta vedova nel 1919, morì senza eredi nel 1945 e nel testamento volle donare la sua residenza milanese, con tutto il contenuto, al Comune di Milano, che secondo l’uso dell’epoca smembrò le collezioni per unirle a quelle di altri edifici comunali. Nel 1958, dopo un lungo restauro dovuto agli ingenti danni subiti dall’edificio durante la II Guerra Mondiale, Palazzo Morando aprì le sue porte al pubblico col nome di “Museo di Milano”. Al piano nobile fu collocata la collezione Beretta (tuttora esposta), una ricca raccolta di dipinti e disegni dedicata all’iconografia urbanistica e architettonica di Milano, anch’essa divenuta di proprietà del Comune grazie a una donazione. Al pian terreno invece trovò sistemazione nel 1963 il Museo della Guerra e della Resistenza, poi denominato Museo di Storia Contemporanea.

Mazzucotelli also designed the wrought-iron terraces of Casa Galimberti, with brightly coloured ceramics covering the façade, and those of the adjacent Casa Guazzoni; as well as the gate and large woven leaves of the balconies of Casa Campanini and the naturalistic elements of Casa Moneta.

Stoyanova Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy Abstract Past research discussed the genesis of the Milan Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II and its importance as an emblematic example of 19th century glazed arcades. The iron-glass cover was hailed as a significant technological accomplishment at the time. Previous personal studies highlighted the reinforcing system which integrated the iron roof into the surrounding masonry structures and the glazing system as characteristic technological aspects which were closely related to the monumental vocation of the Gallery and survived until the present day. This paper deepens the knowledge on the reinforcing and the glazing systems respectively as solutions for lateral thrust management and as a complex of glazing techniques which obtained architectural value in the case of the Gallery. The introduction outlines the complex Gallery genesis in relation to its monumental vocation. The paper then explains the elements and the logic of the two systems in view of the 19th century building practice. Next, these studies argue that the roof reconstruction after the Second World War conserved the primary roof system and improved the long-term performance of the original glazing technology with technical alterations such as dilatation joints and trapezoidal laps instead of triangular ones. The paper also documents the present- day state of the reinforcing and glazing systems and discusses which aspects complied with the original technology and which were introduced in the post- war reconstruction.

The list below includes the names and addresses of facilities disclosed to us by vendors under the requirements of Disney’s ILS Program for our vertical business, which includes our own retail businesses and internal operations. The list does not include the facilities used only by licensees of The Walt Disney Company or its affiliates that source, manufacture and sell consumer products by and through independent entities. Disney’s vertical business comprises a wide range of product categories including apparel, toys, electronics, food, home goods, personal care, books and others. As a result, the number of facilities involved in the production of Disney-branded products may be larger than for companies that operate in only one or a limited number of product categories. In addition, because we require vendors to disclose any facility where Disney intellectual property is present as part of the manufacturing process, the list includes facilities that may extend beyond finished goods manufacturers or final assembly locations.
