AUBURN — The District 1 Parent- Teacher Organization invited boys from Julia Bancroft and Bryn Mawr schools to a special night out Thursday, March 14. The second annual Boys’ Date Night was held at Auburn High School. Event Chairman and PTO member Colleen Hunter said pupils could “bring a special date with them tonight,” such as their mother or an aunt or grandmother. The roughly 300 people who attended could choose from a wide variety of activ- ities — including dress-up photos, danc- ing, plenty of food and bingo, the only event that was part of last year’s Boys’ Date Night. Hunter said local businesses were gen- erous with their support, providing prizes and other items. “I think it’s amazing,” she said about the response to last week’s event. “Couldn’t have asked for any more people.
