TRAVEL FROM LOCAL AIRPORTS

There are three airports in close proximity to Baltimore:

Transportation from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

CAR RENTAL BWI Airport has a rental car facility. Passengers arriving on flights take the free shuttle from the lower level terminal for a ten-minute ride to the rental facility.

Reservations are highly recommended.

Cost: The cost of the rental cars will depend upon company and type of vehicle.

TAXI Taxi stands are located outside of the baggage claim area of the Lower Level of the BWI terminal.

Cost approximately $35 to $75 (customary gratuity is an additional 15% to 20% of the total cab fare).

SUPER SHUTTLE Super Shuttle is a private airport shuttle service to and from BWI airport. The shuttle stops are located outside of baggage claim area.

Reservations are highly recommended.

Cost varies according to the time of day, destination, and number of passengers.

THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE The Airport Shuttle offers door to door reservation service to anywhere in . The company operating these shuttles tracks the passengers’ flights and meets them at the curb side. A reservation ahead of time is required. Vans carry 7 to 10 passengers.

Cost varies according to the time of day, destination, and number of passengers.

For reservations and information, call 1-800-776-0323 or visit www.theairportshuttle.com MARC TRAINS MARC (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) Trains provide service from the BWI Marshall Rail Station to Baltimore. Stops at the airport are located on the lower level terminal roadway.

Penn Station: Station (generally referred to as Penn Station) is the main in Baltimore and is served by , MARC, and MTA (Maryland Transit Administration). It is located at 1515 N. Charles Street. Circulator Buses provide service to patrons in Baltimore from Penn Station.

CIRCULATOR BUS The Charm City Circulator is a public transit shuttle bus service throughout downtown Baltimore. The system currently operates four routes on major streets throughout downtown.

LIGHT RAIL The BWI Marshall Station is located immediately outside the lower level of the terminal building. Light Rail northbound towards Hunt Valley provides service to Baltimore.

DOLLAR A MILE Dollar a Mile Transportation is a private taxi service to and from BWI, IAD, and DCA. A 24 to 48 hour advanced reservation is recommended. Reservations can be made at (301) 582- 8031.

Transportation from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

CAR RENTAL Reagan National Airport has a rental car facility. The counters are located on the first floor of Parking Garage A.

Reservations are highly recommended.

Cost: The cost of the rental cars will depend upon company and type of vehicle.

Cost varies by distance. In addition to cab fare, customary gratuity of 15% to 20% of the total cab fare is expected.

MARC TRAINS MARC (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) Trains provide service from Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station. Circulator Buses provide service to patrons in Baltimore.

Union Station: Union Station is a major train station, transportation hub, and leisure destination in Washington, D.C. and is served by Amtrak, MARC and VRE( Railway Express) services, the Washington , and buses. It is located at 50 Massachusetts Ave., NE Washington, D.C. 20002.

Penn Station: Pennsylvania Station (generally referred to as Penn Station) is the main train station in Baltimore and is served by Amtrak, MARC, and MTA (Maryland Transit Administration). It is located at 1515 N. Charles Street. Circulator Buses provide service to patrons in Baltimore from Penn Station.

AMTRAK Reagan National Airport is located near 2 Amtrak rail stations. Amtrak Union Station (Washington, D.C.) is located at Union Station. Amtrak Alexandria Station (Alexandria, VA) is adjacent to the King Street Station on ’s Blue Line and Yellow Line—the same Metrorail lines which serve Reagan National Airport. Amtrak trains go into Penn Station in Baltimore.

GREYHOUND BUS Reagan National Airport is located near two Greyhound Bus terminals. Both can be accessed using the Metrorail system. Greyhound Washington, D.C. terminal is located at Union Station on Metrorail’s Red Line. Greyhound Springfield, VA terminal is located adjacent to the Springfield/Franconia Station on Metrorail’s Blue Line.

Transportation from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

CAR RENTAL Major car rental agencies are located in the main Washington Dulles Airport car rental facility. To get to the facility, exit from the main terminal after retrieving your baggage and look for the signs for the “Parking / Rental Car” shuttle. This shuttle will take you the rental car facility.

Reservations are highly recommended.

TAXI Follow the signs for Ground Transportation or Taxi to the lower level of the main terminal where a customer service representative will be available 24 hours a day.

Trains bound for "New Carrollton" will take you towards Downtown Washington, D.C. Union Station. From Union Station, MARC trains provide service to Baltimore.
