Llorente ** RESUMEN En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio taxonómico y faunístico de la superfami- lia Grylloidea de España, incluyendo las islas Baleares y Canarias. Se examinan las 60 especies y subespecies que se han encontrado hasta ahora en este país, siendo seis de ellas nuevas para la ciencia: Petaloptila (P.) fermini, P. (P.) isabelae, P. (Zapetaloptila) venosa, P. (Z.) barrancoi, Paramogoplistes dentatus sp. n. y Grylloderes orlovskajae adventicius subsp. n.; asimismo se crean dos nuevos subgéneros Italoptila y Zapetaloptila. Se establece una sinonimia correcta del género Grylloderes Bolívar, 1894 (= Platy- gryllus Chopard, 1961, syn. dist. ), así como siete sinonimias específicas: Gryllomorpha (G.) dalmatina (Ocskay, 1832) (= Gryllomorpha dalmatina strumae Andreeva, 1982, syn. n.), Petaloptila (P.) aliena (Brunner-Wattenwyl, 1882) (= Discoptila eitschbergeri Harz, 1976, syn. n.), Acheta hispanicus Rambur, 1839 (= Gryllus erythrospilus Walker, 1869, syn. n., Gryllus hispanicus var. fusculus Bolívar, 1927, syn. n.), Eumodicogryllus bordigalensis (Latreille, 1802) (= Gryllodes ferdinandi Bolívar, 1899, syn. n., Gryllus chinensis var intermedia Bolívar, 1927, syn. n.), Eugryllodes pipiens (Dufour, 1820) (= Gryllodes pipiens var. provincialis Azam, 1901, syn. n.), y además cinco estatus nuevos y una combinación nueva. S. de Medeiros1 & Cassandra G. Extavour1,2* Over the course of evolution, organism size has diversified markedly. Changes in size are thought to have occurred because of developmental, morphological and/or ecological pressures. To perform phylogenetic tests of the potential effects of these pressures, here we generated a dataset of more than ten thousand descriptions of insect eggs, and combined these with genetic and life-history datasets. We show that, across eight orders of magnitude of variation in egg volume, the relationship between size and shape itself evolves, such that previously predicted global patterns of scaling do not adequately explain the diversity in egg shapes. We show that egg size is not correlated with developmental rate and that, for many insects, egg size is not correlated with adult body size. Instead, we find that the evolution of parasitoidism and aquatic oviposition help to explain the diversification in the size and shape of insect eggs. Our study suggests that where eggs are laid, rather than universal allometric constants, underlies the evolution of insect egg size and shape. Size is a fundamental factor in many biological processes. The size of an 526 families and every currently described extant hexapod order24 organism may affect interactions both with other organisms and with (Fig. 1a and Supplementary Fig. 1). We combined this dataset with the environment1,2, it scales with features of morphology and physi- backbone hexapod phylogenies25,26 that we enriched to include taxa ology3, and larger animals often have higher fitness4. -

This coun- try is located in the centre of the Mediterranean Basin and its palaeo-geographical origins are owed to complex natural phenomena, as well as to a multitude of centres-of-origin, where colonization of fauna and flora concerned. Out of 382 Orthoptera taxa (i.e., species and sub- species) known to occur in Italy, 160 (41.9%) are endemic. Most of them are restricted to the Alps, the Apennines or the two principal islands of Italy (i.e., Sardinia and Sicily). In addition, lowland areas in central-southern Italy host many endemic taxa, which probably originate from the Balkan Peninsula. In Italy, the following 8 genera are considered endemic: Sardoplatycleis, Acroneuroptila, Italopodisma, Epipodisma, Nadigella, Pseudoprumna, Chorthopodisma and Italohippus. Moreover, the subgenus Italoptila is endemic to Italy. For research regarding endemism, Orthoptera are particularly interesting because this order com- prises species characterized by different ecological traits; e.g., different dispersal abilities, contrasting thermal requirements or specific demands on their habitats. The highest percentage of apterous or micropterous (35.3%) and brachypterous (16.2%) endemic taxa live in the Apennines, which are among the most isolated mountains of the Italian Peninsula. -

The ecological preferences and bioacoustics of bush-crickets, crickets and grasshoppers species were studied in middle and lower Prut River basin, a research conducted in 55 localities from Romania and 33 localities in the Republic of Moldova. A total number of 91 species of Orthoptera were collected in the study area: 85 species encountered on the western side of Prut River basin (9 Phaneropteridae, 24 Tettigoniidae, 1 Bradyporidae, 5 Gryllidae, 1 Gryllotalpidae, 1 Tridactylidae, 5 Tetrigidae, 39 Acrididae) and 76 species found on the eastern side (7 Phaneropteridae, 19 Tettigoniidae, 1 Bradyporidae, 5 Gryllidae, 1 Gryllotalpidae, 1 Tridactylidae, 3 Tetrigidae, 39 Acrididae). Four species are recorded for the first time in the Orthoptera fauna of the Republic of Moldova:Barbitistes constrictus (Fabricius), Poecilimon fussii Brunner von Wattenwyl, Metrioptera roeselii fedtschenkoi (Saussure) and Pholidoptera frivaldskyi (Herman). Résumé. Les préférences écologiques et bioacoustique des espèces de sauterelles, grillons et criquets ont été étudiés dans le bassin moyen et inférieur du fleuve Prut, une recherche menée dans 55 localités de la Roumanie et de 33 localités dans la République de Moldova. Un total de 91 espèces d’orthoptères a été recueillis dans la zone d’étude: 85 espèces rencontrées sur le côté d’ouest du bassin de la rivière Prut (9 Phaneropteridae, 24 Tettigoniidae, 1 Bradyporidae, 5 Gryllidae, 1 Gryllotalpidae, 1 Tridactylidae, 5 Tetrigidae, 39 Acrididae) et 76 espèces présentes sur la côte orientale (7 Phaneropteridae, 19 Tettigoniidae, 1 Bradyporidae, 5 Gryllidae, 1 Gryllotalpidae, 1 Tridactylidae, 3 Tetrigidae, 39 Acrididae). -

Sixteen species and subspecies are es- tablished. Ovaliptila anamur sp. nov., O. anitli sp. nov., O. alanya sp. nov., O. alanya proxima subsp. nov., O. alara sp. nov., O. teke sp. nov., O. ibrahimi sp. nov., Glandulosa borisi sp. nov. and Gryllomorpha dalmatina minutissima subsp. nov. are described. Ovaliptila beroni (Popov, 1975), Glandulosa kinzelbachi Harz, 1979, G. harzi Gorochov, 1996 and Gryllomorpha antalya Gorochov, 2009 are briefly characterized based on the type material. Ovaliptila buresi Mařan, 1958 is indicated as a rather widely distributed species in the western part of Anatolia (but not in the southern coast of this peninsula). Gryllomorpha dalmatina pieperi Harz, 1979, G. miramae Medvedev, 1933 and the nominotypical subspecies of G. miramae are recorded from Turkey for the first time, but both subspecies remain open to question. (Biskra). It contributes to the inventory and knowledge of arthropods which are successfully infecting a plant newly introduced in Algeria in this case Sesbania acuelata. During the summer of 2016, each month, arthropods are collected using three methods: pitful traps, yellow water traps and direct hunting. The survey resulted in the retrieval of 685 individuals in 125 arthropods, grouped into 66 families and 13 orders. The results thus obtained showed a predominance of the order Hymenoptera followed by Diptera and Orthoptera. The Order of the acari is the least represented. For a better qualitative and quantitative analysis of the species identified, numerous ecological indices were used. The extract obtained was analyzed, under optimum conditions, by HPLC which allowed the identification of seven phenolic compounds which are ascorbic acid, gallic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and Vanillin, quercitin, rutin acids. Sesbania acuelata, can be, however, considered as a plant of pharmaceutical utility of great importance in addition to the other virtues. We propose the first phylogenetic hypothesis for the evolu- tion of crickets sensu lato, based on analysis of 205 species, representing 88% of the subfamilies and 71% tribes currently listed in the database Orthoptera Species File (OSF). We reconstructed parsimony, maximum likelihood and Bayesian phylogenies using fragments of 18S, 28SA, 28SD, H3, 12S, 16S, and cytb (~3600 bp). Our results support the monophyly of the cricket clade, and its subdivision into two clades: mole crickets and ant-loving crickets on the one hand, and all the other crickets on the other (i.e. crickets sensu stricto). Crickets sensu stricto form seven monophyletic clades, which support part of the OSF fami- lies, “subfamily groups”, or subfamilies: the mole crickets (OSF Gryllotalpidae), the scaly crickets (OSF Mogoplistidae), and the true crickets (OSF Gryllidae) are recovered as monophyletic. -
