INTRODUCTION The IPSI Transactions on Internet Research is a journal with a tradition of publishing opinion articles on different aspects of science and engineering. Previous articles of that sort include ten different contributions from Nobel Laureates, as well as the contributions of the highest-reputation experts in fields not covered by Nobel Prize. The rationale behind such an editing policy is to create a database of heritage items of interest for young professionals in generations to follow. This article is focused on the topic of bridge design and implementation. Therefore, it emphasizes bridge design, construction, and management, but it also includes opinions related to social responsibility, aesthetics, art, and vision. It follows the recommendations of [1] and focuses on creativity behind the expert opinions, as elaborated in [2].
