174 Highland Railway 14in dial mahogany cased regulator railway wall clock. The rectangular plated movement has shaped shoulders, six spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement, Harrisons maintaining power , a gut line and a wooden pendulum rod with a brass cased bob and is in good clean condition. The original dial which has been lightly restored displays the makers name P.G. WILSON INVERNESS who were one of the main suppliers of clocks to the Highland Railway Company. The GWR ivorinek cloc numberplate GWR 1285 is screwed to the left hand side of the case. The dial has been lightly restored and show GWR in the block style. Ex 0‐6‐0T built in 1952 upon completion of her rebuild at NCB Allerton Bywater Central Workshops. numbered S103, the loco worked at numerous collieries in the West Riding area of Leeds and was withdrawn in 1977, being among the last operational industrial locos in the Leeds area. In lightly cleaned original condition with some surface rust due to being stored in a damp place and has L 7803 stamped into the back indicating this is the left hand plate. The manor house is approximately eight miles South West of Oxford. 401 GWR brass cabside numberplate 4040 ex Churchward Star 4‐6‐0 built at Swindon in 1911 and named Queen Boadicea. Allocated to 84G Shrewsbury and withdrawn from there in June 1951 and scrapped at Swindon. Face restored a long time ago with faint boiler and class details visible in the rim. 402 Smokebox numberplate 6008 ex Collett King class 4‐6‐0 built at Swindon in 1928 and named KING JAMES II. This type of sign was only used here and at Birmingham Snow Hill on the Western Region although standard Totems were also used at both locations. In excellent condition, measures 34in diameter. 480 Tyers No6 fibre single line tablet TOWER HILL ‐ LAUNCESTON ex London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line. Measures 4.5in diameter and stamped NOT IN USE on the face. 481 London & North Western Railway electric lever frame. A section from the Crewe South Junction Webb & Thompson All Electric frame installed in 1907. After the LNWR's experimental installation in Gresty Lane box, this was the earliest electric power frame installed in the UK so is of some historical significance. Measures 40in wide x 52in tall x 18in deep and weighs approx 400kg. In totally original condition with green paint around the edge and red paint visible under the black, rear stamped with two dots indicating this is the right hand side plate. 501 Cambrian Railway wall mounted Platform Lamp with original station name paper lamp tablet ELSON HALT. The case is plated CAM RYL and is in nicely restored condition measuring 20in tall , 10in wide and 8in deep. Elson Halt was between Ellesmere and Overton‐On‐Dee and was closed in 1962.

533 A beautifully detailed Railway Signal Co. 5‐lever fully interlocked demonstration scale model lever frame with working gate wheel and mechanism together with signal box diagram which includes locking chart. The style of frame is representative of the first version of tappet locked lever frame manufactured by the company at its Fazakerley works between 1884 and the early 1900s. The model is thought to have been built early in the 20th century and is clearly engraved with the company's name. It is mounted on a wooden table with a brass base and stands some 20.5in tall. There is a minor fracture to the gate wheel locking mechanism. 534 Tyers No6 single line fibre tablet ALDEBURY JUNC ‐ BREAMORE from the section between Salisbury and Bournemouth which closed in 1964. 556 A Railway Signal Co. 13‐lever demonstration scale model lever frame fully interlocked to represent the layout of a double line railway with trailing crossover and both up and down sidings. The frame accurately represents the final style of tappet frame produced by the company at its Fazakerley works from the 1890s until the cessation of production. The model which is engraved with the company's name stands 19in tall, is complete with signal box diagram and is mounted on a wooden display board. It is thought to have been built around 1910. 557 GWR Jigsaw LOST IN TRANSIT. Made up on card to show completeness and accompanied by the original, square box with label MAY YOU AND YOURS FIND ENTERTAINMENT AT HOME IN SOLVING THIS JIG‐SAW PUZZLE ‐ IF ITS MESSAGE GOES HOME, YOU WILL HELP TO SOLVE A BIG PROBLEM FACING THE COMPANY. This is the rarest of all the Great Western Railway jigsaws, issued only to staff in the Goods Departments, it is known to have been rejected by them as intimidating and many were simply confined to the fire! Allocated to Leicester (G.C), Gorton, Sheffield Darnall, Retford Thrumpton (G.C) and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn from where it was withdrawn in June 1965. Scrapped later the same year at T.W. Ward Beighton. In original condition. 571 GWR hand engraved brass shelf plate PERRANPORTH. In very good condition with original wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in. 572 Lancashire and Yorkshire & London and North Western Joint Railway Bronze ships plaque, measuring 6in diameter. A rare survivor from one of the jointly owned and operated ships. Renumbered by the GWR 357 at the Grouping. Allocations included Cardiff Canton and 88C Barry from where it was withdrawn in January 1956 and scrapped. In very good condition with a few small face chips, measures 44in x 36in. 584 A pair of Railway Signal Co. demonstration working scale model miniature electric staff instruments complete with bells and 30 staffs. The internal mechanisms, designed to work at 4.5 volts are created in miniature and have been tested as still in working order when connected together under power. Each stands approximately 11in tall and were built in around 1920 and are thought to be unique. The battery drawers are designed to take the now obsolete Ever Ready 1289 style of battery but could easily house an alternative battery pack. 585 British Railways cast aluminium depot plaque for Westbury depicting the White Horse. 612 A Wise's patent staff with integral locked metal tickets dating from 1880 measuring 14in long. Used to demonstrate the principle of the patent (No.1030 of 1896) the staff is engraved A to B and B to A. The key for one set of tickets is present, as are two metal tickets at one end and three at the other. The back of the staff is engraved with the words 'Wises Patent' and 'McKenzie & Holland Worcester England'. Berkeley Deane Wise (1853 ‐ 1909) held various railway and architect roles including the Chief Engineer of the Belfast & Northern Counties Railway. Raynar Wilson's book Railway Signalling includes a drawing and description of the staff. A second such staff is known to be housed at the in York. 613 BR FF enamel station sign BOOTLE NEW STRAND. In very good condition and mounted on an original totem bracket. This sign dates to around 1968 when the station name was changed from Marsh Lane & Strand Road. 798 South African Railways dual language brass Cabside Numberplate 3471 Class 25. Built by the North British Railway Co in 1953 under works number 27343. This was one of the condensing locos and the plate is the original that was fitted before conversion to non‐condensing, the subsequent plates carrying the' 'NC suffix 799 A group of three National Traction Engine Owners and users association plates. Two enamel for 1916 and 1917 measure 7.25in x 4.5in in very good condition and one cast brass undated 7.5in x 4.5in. 800 Great Western Railway untitled C/I Gunpowder Van Notice referring to the placing of red flags and red lamps on the van when in sidings. In nicely restored condition measures 21.5in x 18in.
