Dwaraka Lila of Lord Krishna
Dwaraka Lila of Lord Krishna Venue: Pune Occasion: 14th Bhagvat Katha- Day 4 Date: 28 December 2015, Dwarakadhish ki …..jai Srila Prabhupada gave us Bhagvat and taught us “nityam bhagvat sevaya”. Bhagvat sravanam is not to be done for just 7 days but like Parikshit maharaja heard it continuously for 7 days. His death was destined in 7 days and we say our death also is destined in seven days Sunday.. Monday …Saturday, one day in a week. So in ISKCON Srila Prabhupada gave us seva of “nityam bhagvat sevaya”. In every temple every day we have Bhagvat sravan every day one slok is discussed. So you also by hearing for 7 days you will also get addicted to hearing Bhagvat, for example alcoholic keeps on drinking and says “jina to kaya jina pine ke bina”. Like that by regularly hearing Bhagavat we will get addicted and one day will come we will not be able to live without “Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. One man used to say I will read Bhagvat tomorrow, I will read Bhagvat tomorrow ….and tomorrow as no end. Lord is bakebihari he is not straight, Lord Krishna is given the name Tribhanga Lalit, he whose body assumes a beautiful threefold bending form. So it’s very difficult to make Him enter our heart but once He enters then it’s very difficult to remove Him, as He is Tribhanga. So first day we had Bhagvat katha we heard about glories of Prabhupada, he is himself Bhagvat . -

Extract from book: One dark starry night Bhu Devi—the goddess of the lands, took the form of a cow and went to Lord Vishnu. She prayed to him to bring the Earth back into balance as it was being weighted down by the presence of innumerable Asuras and Demons. They not only plundered and killed the innocent but were a great threat to the holy and religious ones. The all-knowing Vishnu smiled and agreed to be born on Earth and to bring an end to the sufferings of all the life forms there. So as scheduled, on one auspicious day, the supreme one took birth on Earth as the son of Devaki and Vasudeva in the cold and darkness of the cellar. His parents were kept there as the step-brother of his mother Kansa was terrorized after he heard the akashvani while he was on his way to drop his newly-wed affectionate sister and her husband to their palace: “The eighth son of this sister of yours will kill you.” Kansa was angered after hearing this and took out his sword to kill his sister Devaki but when her husband pleaded with him, saying he would offer his children to him, they were spared. -

Shakatasura who came in the form of a shakata (cart) was killed by Krishna just with the kicking of his mild foot. Music of the Soul
Master E.K. MUSIC OF THE SOUL MUSIC OF T H E SOUL Master E.K. Master E.K. Book Trust VISAKHAPATNAM – 530051 © Master E.K. Book Trust Available online: Master E.K. Spiritual and Service Mission www.masterek.org Institute for Planetary Synthesis www.ipsgeneva.com PREFACE Every one of us has the following layers of consciousness which we can easily recognise: 1. The point of consciousness which we call the individuality. Around it all other things are centred. 2. The mind that recognises its own existence. 3. The mind that comes out through the senses and makes a contact with “others”. 4. The mind that knows and decides. 5. The mind that establishes its relationships with others. 6. The light that recognises itself existing in others. 7. The one who lives in all in the form of Love. There are people who live in each of these seven layers of consciousness. A living being awakens as the central point of the globe of one’s own existence (individuality). It takes up its journey and awakens into the second layer and the third layer of its own existence. This process is what the Ancients call Evolution. It continuous until it reaches the seventh, the outermost plane of consciousness, when it experiences the One Existence. This One Existence is liberation from the other six layers of consciousness. The PREFACE seventh layer, though it is absolute and beyond time and space, exists as the One Person who showers His Love upon the beings of all the other layers. This One Person can be called the Eternal Existence. -
Puranas, Lord Jagannath Was Originally Worshipped As Lord Neela Madhaba, by a Savar Tribal Chief, Named Viswavasu
Newsletter Archives www.dollsofindia.com Char Dham - The Four Most Sacred Pilgrimages of Hindus Copyright © 2016, DollsofIndia Char Dham, literally meaning, four pilgrimage sites, are the temples that are among the most highly venerated Hindu Vaishnavite temples in India. These four places of pilgrimage, which were defined by Adi Shankaracharya, include Puri, Rameswaram, Dwarka and Badrinath. Hindus consider it a great fortune to visit the Char Dham during their lifetime. Till the mid- 20th century, other pilgrimage sites in the Indian State of Uttarakhand, namely, Yamunotri, Gangotri and Kedarnath, were known as Chota Char Dham. But not, these sites have also been referred to as the Char Dham. The Creation of the Char Dham The Four Shankaracharya Peeths at the Char Dham school of Hinduism gave rise to at least four Hindu Mathas or monastic establishments. The great saint/seer organized the monks under the four Mathas, headquartered at Jagannatha Puri (in the East), Sringeri Sharada Peetham (in the South), Dwarka (in the West) and Badrikashrama (in the North). Each one of these Peethams was headed by one of the shishyas, who oversaw the entire functioning of his respective Matha. Let us now look at each of these temples in detail: The Puri Jagannath Temple Puri Dham Temple Puri is located in the Eastern side of India, in the state of Odisha. Puri is one of the most ancient cities in the East and is situated along the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Puri is the site of the Govardhana Matha. The main temple is about 1000 years old and was constructed in the 12th century by Raja Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva. -
Baisi Pahacha: Inside the Temple Complex There Is Are Two Outer Rings of Small Temples and Main Temple Is at the Center
Baisi Pahacha: Inside the temple complex there is are two outer rings of small temples and main temple is at the center. At the outer ring at the main entrance there are steps known as Baisi Pahacha or twenty two steps. Some says this name has come from the term outside steps (Bahya Pavacha). Great respect is given to these steps because many devotees pass here and the dust of their feet sanctify the steps. Meghanada Pacheri : The reverberating, roaring noise of the sea which is well heard till the entrance of the Singha dwar, but as we climb up the Baaisi Pahachas, the roar of the sea dies. It is believed that the noise of the sea disturbed the Lord and hence he built the great Meghanada Pacheri (wall that surrounds the temple premises) to act as a tremendous acoustic against the noise of the waves. Although, physics would deny an open air restriction but somehow, the theorems have fallen short of giving a firm explanation to afore mentioned phenomena. Kashi-Viswanath Mandir Viswanath Mandir is situated to the left of Baisipahacha (twenty two slips). It is the temple of Lord Shiva. It is customary to visit Lord Shiva first before visiting Lord Jagannath Ramachandra Temple A small temple of Lord Shri Ram lies adjoining to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Adorned here are the images of figures of Lord Rama, Lakshma, Sita and Hanuman. Adjoining to this temple are the images of Abhaya Nrisimha and Sidha Vinayak in a small temple. Agneyswar Temple The Agneyswar temple lies to the left of the inner enclosure.
