General information pursuant to Section 55 of the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG) regarding data processing by customs authorities in the context of criminal offences and infringements of rules of law (Last updated: December 2018) Preface Among the functions of Customs are the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of certain offences and infringements of rules of law including the enforcement of the fines imposed by the customs authorities. In order to fulfil this role, the customs services are entitled to process personal data. The information detailed in this letter concerns: • Controls under aspects of customs and movement of cash law • Procedures concerning tax-related criminal offences and infringements of rules of law • Procedures concerning criminal offences and infringements in non-tax relevant areas (excluding the Financial Monitoring Unit to Control Unreported or Illicit Employment) The information contained herein only concerns the processing of personal data by the customs authorities (main customs offices, customs investigation offices, the German Customs Criminological Office, the Federal Treasury and its branches, and the General Customs Directorate). Data processing by the tax administration (tax offices, regional finance directorates, state offices for finance, Federal Central Tax Office) is not addressed. “Personal data” means any information that directly relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. When financial authorities “process” personal data, it means that they collect, save, apply, transfer, make available for retrieval, edit or delete data. In the following we will provide information about the kind of personal data that we collect, who we collect it from, and what we do with this data. In addition, we will inform you about your privacy rights in relation to data protection and advise you on whom to contact if you have any questions or complaints. -

PUBLICA TION July 2013 The Corporate Secretary: An Overview of Duties and Responsibilities • The Corporate Secretary: An Overview of Duties and Responsibilities 1 Introduction What Does a U.S. Corporate Secretary Do? What does a corporate secretary do? Just as no single corporate governance model fits all companies, there is not one right answer to this question, particularly in the U.S. context. Generally, the secretary works closely with a company’s Board of Directors, its CEO, and senior officers, providing information on board best practices and tailoring the board’s governance framework to fit the needs of the company and its directors, as well as the expectations of shareholders. The secretary also supports the board in the carrying out of its fiduciary duties. The actual work of the secretary falls into many “buckets” and varies from company to company. This overview highlights several typical areas of responsibility. Regardless of how many of these roles the secretary plays at any one company, in the post Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd Frank world, governance issues have become increasingly important to directors, institutional investors and other stakeholders. In most companies, the secretary serves as the focal point for communication with the board, senior management and shareholders, and plays a significant role in the setting and administration of critical corporate matters. February 2013 Current Affairs =Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal presented the Union Railway Budget for 2013-14 in Lok Sabha on 26 February 2013. Some of the New Plans and Schemes proposed in Railway Budget 2013-14 are as under: • Proposal for setting up of Railway Tariff Regulatory Authority formulated and at inter-ministerial consultation stage. • To provide a memorable experience to the visitors especially the children, a revamp plan will be rolled out for National Railway Museum in 2013-14. • To create a corpus for meeting IR’s committed liabilities for debt servicing of JICA and World Bank loans taken for the DFC Project, it is proposed to set up a new Debt Service Fund. • In order to meet the growing demand, 72 additional services in Mumbai and 18 in Kolkata are being introduced. Besides, rake length is being increased from 9 cars to 12 cars for 80 services in Kolkata and 30 services in Chennai. • A target to complete 500 km of new lines has been set for 2013-14. • There is target to convert 450 km of MG/NG lines to broad gauge during 2013-14. • Announcement of resumption of work on new line projects of Chickmagalur - Sakleshpur and Bengaluru - Satyamangalam, which were pending for want of resources and other mandatory clearances, after State Government of Karnataka agreed to give land free of cost and bear 50% of the cost. =Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal presented the Union Railway Budget for 2013-14 in Lok Sabha on 26 February 2013. Some of the major Initiative proposed in Railway Budget 2013-14 are as under: Anubhuti • Indian Railways will introduce one coach in select trains which will provide an excellent ambience and latest modern facilities and services responding to the Increased Popularity of Shatabdi and Rajdhani Trains. -

1 MINISTRY OF : HOME AFFAIRS (Department of : CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE FORCE) The Central Reserve Police Force Rules/Regulations/Scheme,1955. 1* S.R.O. 499 dated 24th February, 1955:- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949,(66 of 1949), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Title: These Rules may be called the Central Reserve Police Force Rules. 1955. 2. Definitions: In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires: (a)"The Act" means the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949 (Act No. 66 of 1949); (b)"Commandant" means the Commandant appointed to the Force; (c)"Deputy Inspector General of Police" means an officer who has been notified by the Central Government as Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Force: (d)"Detachment" includes any part of the Force required or ordered to proceed on duty away from headquarters, (dd)"Director General" means the Director General of the Force appointed by the Central Government through whom the superintendence of, and control over, the Force of the Central Government shall be exercised and who shall, subject to any instructions that the Central Government may give, administer the Force in accordance with the provisions of the Act and of these or other rules; (Inserted vide GSR-3117 dated 15.7.71) (e)"The Force" means the Central Reserve Police Force; (ee)"Additional Director General" means an officer who has be appointed by the Central Government as Additional Director General of Police for the Force and who shall subject to supervision and control and directions of the Director General perform such functions and exercise such financial and other powers as may be authorised by the Director General by general or special order and exercise such financial powers as may be delegated to him by the Central Government. -

Nearly a year has already past since we had our annual conference and general assembly in Rot- terdam and Antwerp. We had the honor and pleasure to visit the new museum in Rotterdam. Our dutch colleagues can be proud of their building and the interior. Modern aspects have been melted with old parts to become a jewelry of a museum. It must be a pleasure to work in these rooms and also the visitors will get fully satisfaction during their visit. Everybody who didn’t attend our meeting, miss some- thing. But also our colleagues in Antwerp ere proud to present their new customs museum. A totally other style, but also very pleasant to visit. The exhibition gives an overview on customs life during the last decades in a visitor’s easy comprehension. If you are in Antwerp, just have a look at the museum, you will not regret. Another good news came from Vienna in Austria, where the customs museum build-up by our friend Ferdinand Hampl has found a new home and a new curator. So if you are in Austria, take contact with Helmut Gram and have a visit of the Austrian museum. Our exhibition together with the WCO in Brussels is still actual and can be visited till October of this year. -

He earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Arts with highest distinction in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He was a fellow of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI program. VADM Fritz Roegge, NDU President (Photo His sea tours include USS Whale (SSN 638), USS by NDU AV) Florida (SSBN 728) (Blue), USS Key West (SSN 722) and command of USS Connecticut (SSN 22). SECRETARY HANDBOOK 1 How to Be an Organization's Secretary Whether you are talking about a student council, political group or special task force, all organizations require a secretary. The secretary is arguably the most important officer as s/he is responsible for organizing, assimilating and disseminating information within and without the organization. They need to be organized, hardworking, intelligent, and possess excellent writing skills. Decide that this is the right job for you. Some people think that it is easier to be secretary than treasurer or president, but many meeting veterans will tell you that the secretary's job is much more difficult. Meet with the outgoing secretary if possible. Have him or her give you the previous meetings' minutes, correspondences, reports, administrative orders, etc. With any luck, these will already be well organized and ready for you to take them over. Learn that good organizational skills make a good secretary. If your organization's office is not well organized, this is something that should be addressed right away. Use the office to store all relevant documentation and be consistent in your methods. Develop good contacts and use them wisely. A friendly, professional demeanor is very important to an organization's secretary. You will learn very rapidly that most secretaries rely on an intricate network of friends and contacts to conduct day-to-day business. Secretary The responsibilities of the student organization secretary include but are not limited to: taking minutes at every student organization meeting; maintaining the student organization history for that academic year; verifying all student organization purchase requests; assisting with student organization projects where needed; and maintaining communication between the student organization president and individual participants (this may include emails, letters, and phone calls).
