This is a complimentary service provided to NAMM and its Members. To obtain special rates, make your reservations early and through the Anaheim Housing Bureau, not through the hotels directly. A limited number of rooms are available at these preferred rates. Hotels nearest the Anaheim Convention Center and those with lower rates sell out very early; historically, many are sold out on the same day as housing open. HOTEL RESERVATIONS: INTERNET: For best availability and immediate acknowledgement, make your reservation via the Internet. Log on to the Anaheim Housing Bureau/Passkey Site directly with the special NAMM Web address and Member number, provided to you by NAMM. These will be e-mailed to all active NAMM Members before housing opens on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. If you do not receive a link, 55 please contact the NAMM office. You will need your Member number to obtain a hotel room. FAX/MAIL: Complete the NAMM Hotel Reservation Form and submit via fax or mail to the Anaheim Housing Bureau. NAMM does not process hotel reservations. Please do not mail or fax forms to the NAMM office because this will delay your request. These forms will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Forms received prior to housing opening will not be processed. Faxed or mailed housing requests will take longer to process and choice hotels may not be available. Room reservations require a credit card guarantee as a deposit. In order to reserve a hotel room, you must provide a credit card valid through February 2010 or your housing request cannot be processed. Credit cards will not be charged prior to your arrival unless you are booking ten (10) rooms or more. You will be required to present a credit card upon check-in. If you use a corporate card number and will not have the card with you at check-in, you must provide a copy of the front and back of the credit card and an authorization letter from the credit card holder. Checks need to be made payable to the Anaheim Housing Bureau. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: If reserving your rooms via the Internet, your hotel confirmation will be sent to you immediately via e-mail. If you make reservations made via fax or mail you will be sent hotel acknowledgements within two weeks of the Anaheim Housing Bureau receiving the request. You will not receive a confirmation from the hotel. CHANGES/CANCELLATIONs: All changes to and cancellations of hotel reservations can be made through the Passkey web site or through the Anaheim Housing Bureau until December 11, 2009.

The underpass supports the longevity of the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor (Corridor). The Corridor contains some of the last remaining stands of several habitat types that are declining in the Los Angeles Basin. The 31-mile Corridor connects vast open space areas and provides a rare opportunity to preserve functional wildland in southern California. The Harbor Boulevard Wildlife Underpass is the linkage point within this Corridor for approximately 4,600 acres of publicly protected habitat to the west and about 14,000 acres of publicly protected habitat to the east. It strengthens the biodiversity of all lands to the west and adds to the richness in the east. Harbor Boulevard was constructed in 1990 with oversight to wildlife movement in the area. Wildlife populations west of Harbor, especially the bobcat population, would have become completely isolated, and possibly extirpated, if safe passage across Harbor Boulevard was not created.

This publication provides information on officially named freeways; highways; structures such as bridges, tunnels, and interchanges; Blue Star Memorial Highways; Safety Roadside Rest Areas; and memorial plaques. A section concerning historical names is also included in this publication. The final section of this publication includes background information on each naming. HOW FREEWAYS, HIGHWAYS AND STRUCTURES ARE NAMED Each route in the State Highway System is given a unique number for identification and signed with distinctive numbered Interstate, United States, or California State route shields to guide public travel. The State Legislature designates all State highway routes and assigns route numbers, while the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) has authority over the numbering of Interstate and United States routes. In addition to having a route number, a route may also have a name and, in some cases, multiple names.

    Looking southeast over Costa Mesa’s Westside District. Chapter 2 Land Use Element Introduction The Land Use Element is the keystone element of the Costa Mesa General Plan. This Element unifies the other elements by providing an overall policy context for future physical change. Goals and policies define the community’s desired balance among social, environmental, and economic considerations, while maintaining those characteristics of the community that reinforce quality neighborhoods and viable business districts. As Costa Mesa implements this General Plan, the City aspires to keep Costa Mesa an eclectic community with welcoming public spaces; attractive, walkable residential neighborhoods; exceptional parks and community services; and, a diverse economy that meets the needs of local residents while also attracting investment from regional and international markets. Costa Mesa General Plan | LU - 1 L a n d U s e E l e m e n t Purpose The Land Use Element shapes new physical development in the City and its sphere of influence and provides strategies to preserve, protect, and enhance established neighborhoods and districts consistent with the community’s vision. Through implementation of the Land Use Element, the City seeks to accomplish the following: . Target new development opportunities at key locations while ensuring compatibility with established neighborhoods . Increase homeownership opportunities in the City . Establish and maintain an orderly pattern of development in the City . Establish a land use classification system that implements land use policies .
