STUdIA HISTORIAE OECONOMICAE UAM Vol. 34 Poznań 2016 zhg.amu.edu.pl/sho Robert K l e m e n t o w s k i (Institute of National Remembrance/University of Wrocław, Wrocław) FINANCIAL CRIME IN THE OPERATIONAL WORK OF THE STATE SECURITY SERVICE UNTIL 1956 – LOWER SILESIAN PERSPECTIVE Nationalization and the introduction of state-controlled economy led to the emergence of abnormal social phenomena, including system-specific crimes. Economic transformations were the foundation of the systemic revolution carried out in the first decade after the Second World War, therefore they were the subject of interest for the Ministry of Public Security. That is why financial crimes were treated just like political crimes, which was also justified by legal provisions, as no specific definition of this type of crime existed. This allowed the authorities (secret police, prosecutor’s office, courts, media) to interpret the events according to their will and current political needs, and, as a result, to administer various overt or covert repressions (death penalty, imprisonment, forced cooperation with the secret police). Keywords: financial crime, security services, Lower Silesia. doi:10.1515/sho-2016-0008 INTRODUCTION The problem of financial crime in the first years following the end of the Second World War was not a particularly interesting subject for his- torians. To some extent this is understandable, as political issues were of prime concern, including the creation of the Polish Workers Party/Polish United Worker’s Party administration or the elimination of both real and sham opposition. The longer the research on this subject is conducted, the clearer it becomes that the bedrocks of the new system were not actually its repressive nature or single-party rule, but the permanent transforma- tion of the economic system. -

It began in 2008, with first preparations for the award title and was presented in two books bidding for the title: Spaces for Beauty and Spaces for Beauty Revisited. This third presentation of the programme, Spaces for Beauty: Designed, is a summary of our work, and includes concepts of curators and the entire team and a preview of specific events of the title year. Each of these books complements and counterpoints the previous one, and announces the next. -

He had lived in Warsaw since he was eleven , where he continued his self-taught education after attending primary school. Shortly after World War II, his family was further decimated when Stanisław was sentenced to life imprisonment for allegedly resisting communism. Wiśniewski-Snerg never graduated from high school and was unable to start studying. In 1968 he published his first story Anonymous in the magazine "Kamena". His first novel Robot , published in 1973 , was voted the most important Polish science fiction novel since 1945 by Polish science fiction readers. Adam Wiśniewski- Snerg is considered the best Polish science fiction author after Stanisław Lem . Without attracting much attention from scientists, he tried the unified field theory . His book Jednolita teoria czasoprzestrzeni (such as Unified Theory of Space-Time , a contribution to theoretical physics in which he rejects Einstein's theories) was not published, so he had it printed in 1990 at his own expense. Adam wiśniewski-snerg committed 1995 suicide . Some of his works were only published posthumously . Since important motifs of his novels The Ark and The Gospel according to Lump reappear in the Matrix films (only the protagonist recognizes the pretended nature of reality, all people play a predetermined role in a secret script), there have been several discussions about them among Polish readers whether the Wachowski siblings used ideas from Adam Wiśniewski-Snerg in their film trilogy. -

FILOLOGIA POLSKA 2017 (3) ROCZNIKI NAUKOWE UNIWERSYTETU ZIELONOGÓRSKIEGO Wioletta Radzijewska Uniwersytet Zielonogórski „Fantastyka” (BIBLIOGRAfIA zawartości) Czasopismo „Fantastyka” ukazywało się w latach 1982-1990, w 1990 roku zostało prze- mianowane na „Nową Fantastykę” i pod takim szyldem stanowi kontynuację pierwotnie powołanego do istnienia periodyku1. Czasopismo w najwcześniejszej odsłonie ukazało się w 79 numerach. Począwszy od 1984 roku, w każdym grudniowym numerze znalazł się spis treści rejestrujący publikacje ogłoszone na łamach tytułu w ciągu każdego roku. „Fantastyka” to chyba najpopularniejszy polski miesięcznik poświęcony literaturze fantastycznej oraz science fiction. Było pionierskim pismem o takim profilu tema- tycznym w kraju, a nawet w całym bloku wschodnim, dzięki czemu szybko zyskało swoich wiernych czytelników. Funkcje redaktora naczelnego od 1982 roku pełnił Adam Hollanek, a zespół redakcyjny tworzyli między innymi Andrzej Brzezicki (kierownik działu graficznego), Leszek Bugajski, Anna Gładka, Jerzy Jęczmyk (kierownik działu zagranicznego), Sławomir Kędzierski (zastępca sekretariatu redakcji), Zbigniew Latała (fotoreporter), Maciej Makowski (kierownik działu technicznego), Dorota Malinowska, Andrzej Niewiadomski (zastępca redaktora naczelnego), Maciej Parowski (kierownik działu literatury polskiej), Jacek Rodek (zastępca redaktora naczelnego), Krzysztof Szolginia (sekretarz redakcji), Darosław J.
