Timetable: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m Occasionally classes might be scheduled in other time slots. 2 Travel Experiences are included in the schedule of the Master Course with the objective of experimenting different professional perspectives in 2 different European countries. The educational planning of all IED Master courses is based on the criteria set by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). IED Master employs a system of credits that follows the structure of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). IED issues its own exclusively private Master’s degrees. These are the theoretical and practical skills acquired throughout the course, including the knowledge, skills and attitude required to perform a specific career activity. After completing the course, students are able to: - Enable fashion design, marketing, product and business management professionals to overcome disciplinary boundaries in order to grow in key drivers of organisational success. - Develop an understanding of the entire ecosystem behind the fashion business, enabling them to address current fashion market challenges and adding value to their previously acquired professional knowledge and skills. - Help fashion designers, communicators, managers and marketing professionals interested in fashion to become fashion managers. Fashion managers become fashion leaders and fashion leaders become organisation leaders of the future. - Develop as leaders capable of combining creativity, managerial skills and entrepreneurial mindsets within the constraints of fashion business realities. - Make future fashion managers understand the power of developing strategies, creating brands and delivering products and services successfully centred on the consumer. - Acquire fashion and business management tools to enable them to become powerful key contributors in the value creation chain within the corporate environment or as independent professionals who can adapt perfectly in the business environment through a deeper understanding of its reality and culture. - Develop proficiency in using the tools provided, enabling them to identify the appropriate use of these tools, balance academic and practical knowledge, be efficient in communication and have the ability to evaluate necessary trade-offs when faced with real business challenges. - Expand their roles and capabilities in working with innovation teams. - Foster critical thinking to help them be active citizens of our global society. - Foster critical thinking to help them be active citizens of our global society. - active citizens of our global society. 4 #4 TARGET AUDIENCE The Master recognises and welcomes students from a range of backgrounds: Graduates in disciplines of business areas, commercial, marketing and communication, fashion design and mass distribution, or professionals in the field of business management, retail or fashion industry in general, as well as theoretical fields or those interested in implementing and leading innovative projects within the context of the fashion market. IED Barcelona structures the programme in a flexible way to attract students with different specialties and with various backgrounds. This creates a multidisciplinary environment for the students during the course, to develop a complete vision through fashion management. Admission Requirements All candidates must submit the following documentation to enter the validation process: - Two years of professional experience after completion of university studies. - Motivation letter and CV in English specifying language levels and computer skills. - Intermediate level of English, corresponding to TOEFL or IELTS 6.5. If a prospective student has neither of these certificates, his or her language skills are assessed in a face-to-face interview or via a Skype call. La creativitat i la innovació són els conceptes que inspiren el 080 Barcelona Fashion, sense oblidar la importància del mercat i la necessitat de donar sortida comercial a la moda. El 080 Barcelona Fashion s’emmarca dins el Pla de Dinamització de la Moda Catalana 2007-2010, impulsat pel Departament d’Innovació, Uni- versitats i Empresa de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Aquest pla es va dis- senyar amb la intenció de reactivar el sector del tèxtil creant sinergies amb el disseny de moda que es fa avui dia a Catalunya, al mateix temps que es donava resposta a les dificultats dels creadors independents per materialitzar i comercialitzar les seves col·leccions, tant a dins com a fora de les nostres fronteres.
