Speeding highlighted in SNT Officers conducted speed checks in two locations. Out of 239 vehicles monitored 3 were over the national guidelines the drivers will receive advisory letters. A reduction on previous months.

Responding to issues in your community There were 83 reported crimes, for October, compared with 67 for the same period in 2016.

Following complaints of irresponsible parking during the morning and afternoon School Run. Officers attended to keep the traffic flowing and more importantly the children and parents safe. Unfortunately two Fixed Penalty Notices had to be issued.

Following an increase in the theft of Catalytic Converters from vehicles a Crime Prevention Initiative programme was organised to security mark Catalytic Converters. A total of 40 vehicles attended and were checked with only 17 requiring to be security marked. Grateful thanks go to Alan and Darren Twitchett of Premiere Garage Beccles for the use of the facilities and PCSO Holland assistance by staff members.

A complaint of potential speeding in St Georges Road Beccles was highlighted by a resident in August. A Speed detection recorder was installed for the period 4th to 11th October. 12474 vehicles were recorded with an average speed of 23mph. 1.5% were over the NPCC guidelines of 35mph.
