Cantor Emeritus Richard Nadel was presented with the prestigious Gregor Shelkan Award on Tuesday, May 23 at the Cantors Assembly's International Convention. He was recognized for his many years of service as a cantor and as a mentor and teacher of young aspiring cantors. In the assemblage of cantors, his students were asked to rise, and they applauded as they rose. His superior musicianship is well known by many of the other cantors. In the audience were his wife Andrea, and daughter Zoe, who had come to surprise him and share in the joy of this award. We join in wishing a hearty Mazal Tov to Cantor Nadel!
