The entrant agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless Johnstown Saddle Club, judges, it's officers, general members, and the owner of the Johnstown Saddle Club arena grounds from any and all claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, losses, costs, injuries, liabilities, obligations and cause of action while on the Johnstown Saddle Club grounds or which occur to the said contestant as a result of personal injury or property damage, or for any other reason whatsoever from said activities which may be engaged in or any charges during the period of January 1st to December 31st of the current year. The person or entity understands that they have entered a hazardous or dangerous area at their own risk. The person or entity also understands that if the contestant is a minor, The Johnstown Saddle Club will not allow the contestant to compete unless a guardian of legal age has signed his/her consent on the entry form used by the minor. No Abuse of any animal will be permitted or allowed on the grounds! Violators will be removed from the grounds immediately and will not be allowed to return to any events or meeting. No Dogs, Stallions, or uncontrollable horses are allowed; violators will forfeit any and all awards and will be excused from the grounds. Absolutely no alcohol! Violators will forfeit any and all awards and be excused from the grounds. Any person(s) deemed or perceived as out of control will be asked to leave. Classes that have three or fewer contestants may be combined, but awarded separately. Larimer County 4-H Rules and Guidelines will be used unless otherwise posted. A daily highpoint will be awarded for each division and age group. Contestants are only eligible for year-end high point if they are members of the club and have completed all requirements (i.e. have attending a minimum of 4 meetings, and have completed a minimum of 4 hours volunteer time, per rider, within the club.) . Management reserves the right to make any changes to individual shows; changes will be posted at the Show Office. All questions directed towards the judge must be with the Steward and/or Show Manager present NO Exceptions. All results and placings are final! Green Horse The Green Horse class can include any age horse that has been under saddle two years or less. This does not mean shown for two years or less. It will be judged as a pleasure class and does not count towards high point. Green horses may compete in a snaffle bit. Novice Rider The Novice Rider class can include any age exhibitor which has not received two first place ribbons in Western Pleasure or Western Equitation Lead Line Classes The Lead Line classes are intended for children that are unable to ride and/or handle the horse alone in a safe manner. The child should be old enough to sit on the horse without assistance from a second person. The horse must be lead with a lead attached to a halter by a person 14 years or older. Classes will be judged on correct posture, heels down, reins and confidence. Gymkhana Classes The Gymkhana classes are NOT part of the Johnstown Saddle Club Gymkhana Buckle Series! These classes are geared toward all spectrums of riders; whether you are an intro Gymkhana rider, a rider that would like to have fun and try something different, a “Pleasure Gymkhana” rider, or a Pro/Semi Pro rider practicing for a bigger competition.
