Braddock Rd., Winchester, VA 22601 WNCHVAWC All of Verizon’s copper retirement notices may be viewed on Verizon’s website at http://www.verizon.com/about/terms-conditions/network-disclosures Description of the planned network change(s): Verizon intends to retire the copper facilities at specified addresses in the 67 Virginia centers listed above. Verizon has deployed or plans to deploy its fiber-to-the-premises network in these areas and intends to provide services over a fiber network infrastructure. Updating our network from copper to fiber benefits our customers because of fiber’s resiliency and reliability, especially in inclement weather. Fiber also provides our customers with expanded capabilities to grow with current bandwidth demands for their home or business. Description of reasonably foreseeable impact(s) of the planned change(s): After the retirement of the copper facilities, Verizon will: (1) no longer offer services over copper facilities; and (2) cease maintaining the copper facilities. To help ensure an orderly transition, Verizon may require customers and interconnecting entities to migrate services off of copper facilities well before the copper retirement implementation date. 3 Exhibit A – Address List for Wire Centers Impacted by Copper Retirement ID No. 2019-01-A-VA The complete and searchable list of specific addresses in the Virginia wire centers impacted by Copper Retirement ID No. 2019-01-A-VA may be viewed on Verizon’s website at: http://www.verizon.com/about/terms-conditions/network-disclosures Please look for Copper Retirement ID No. 2019-01-A-VA to find the addresses for the 67 Virginia wire centers where Verizon plans to retire copper facilities: Annandale, Alexandria, Barcroft, Burgundy Road, Mount Vernon, Arlington, Crystal City, Bethia, Chester, Chancellor 1, Chancellor 2, Deep Creek, Culpeper, Crittenden, Dale City, Lee Hill, Fairfax, Battlefield, Great Falls, Groveton, Drummonds Corner, Queen Street, Hopewell, Dulles Corner, Herndon, Sterling Park, Haymarket, Independent Hill, King George, Lorton, Leesburg, Mechanicsville, Lewinsville, Midlothian, Manassas, Nokesville, Huntington Avenue, Nettles Drive, Yorktown Road, Purcellville, Princess Anne, Providence Forge, Petersburg, Hodges Ferry, High Street, Rich - Cogbill Road, Rich - Grace Street, Rich - Gayton Road, Rich - Hermitage Road, Rich - Hungary Spring Rd, Rich - Turner Road, Rich - Logan Street, Rich - Patterson Avenue, Rich - Randall Avenue, Sandston, Stephens City, Stafford, Toano, Triangle, Vienna, Chinese Corner, Indian River, Plaza Trail, Salem Road, Virginia Beach 32nd St, Williamsburg, and Winchester Each interconnecting entity that has received this general notice will also receive subsequent communications from Verizon: 1) notifying the entity of its specific circuits to be impacted by the copper retirement, and 2) providing a specific timeline for action before the facilities are retired. Virtually all providers of telecommunications must file FCC Form 499-A each year.3 These forms are not filed with the FCC but rather with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), which serves as the data collection agent. Information from filings received after November 22, 2002, and from filings that were incomplete has been excluded from the tables. Although many telecommunications providers offer an extensive menu of services, each filer is asked on Line 105 of FCC Form 499-A to select the single category that best describes its telecommunications business.
