A subsequent return to club football with Rosenborg in 2005 was ill-fated: he quit the next year, having been signed off with health problems. • Returned to coaching, again with Tromsø, in 2008, securing some solid league finishes and two attempts at UEFA Europa League qualifying before heading abroad for the first time in his career to take the reins at Swedish outfit Djurgården in 2013. • Appointed Norway coach in September 2013 after Egil Olsen agreed to step down, penning a four-year contract, and lost out to Hungary in the UEFA EURO 2016 play-offs. Pierangelo Manzaroli Date of birth: 25 March 1969 Nationality: Sammarinese Playing career: SS Cosmos, SP Cailungo, San Marino Calcio, SS Pennarossa Coaching career: SS Pennarossa, AC Libertas, San Marino Under-15, San Marino Under-21, San Marino • After starting his career in the local league, the midfielder had a successful two-year spell with San Marino Calcio in the Italian fourth division before returning to the Sammarinese league to play for Pennarossa, where he started to work as a coach in 2006/07, leading the team to the league title in his first season on charge. • Capped 38 times for San Marino between 1991 and 2001, Manzaroli left Pennarossa at the end of the 2006/07 season to join AC Libertas and led his new team to a historic 1-1 draw against Irish club Drogheda United FC in a 2007/08 UEFA Cup game. • Manzaroli than earned another notable coup when he led a San Marino side through the preliminary round of the 2008/09 UEFA Regions' Cup before being appointed as coach of the Under-21 national team in 2010. • He led the U21s to some hugely surprising results in qualifying for the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship – a stalemate against Greece in June 2012 and a 1-0 victory against Wales in September 2013 – before being appointed to replace long-standing San Marino senior coach Giampaolo Mazza in 2014. 5 Norway - San Marino Tuesday 11 October 2016 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Ullevaal Stadion, Oslo Match officials Referee Benoit Bastien (FRA) Assistant referees Hicham Zakrani (FRA) , Frédéric Haquette (FRA) Fourth official Benoît Millot (FRA) FIFA Match Commissioner Ganna Bordiugova (UKR) Referee observer Mike Riley (ENG) Referee Name Date of birth UEFA matches Benoit Bastien 17/04/1983 0 15 FIFA Wold Cup matches involving teams from the two countries involved in this match No such matches refereed Other matches involving teams from either of the two countries involved in this match Stage Date Competition Home Away Result Venue reached 07/09/2015 U21 QR Norway England 0-1 Drammen 17/09/2015 UEL GS Fenerbahçe SK Molde FK 1-3 Istanbul 18/08/2016 UEL PO FK Austria Wien Rosenborg BK 2-1 Vienna 6 Norway - San Marino Tuesday 11 October 2016 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Ullevaal Stadion, Oslo Competition facts The Week of Football concept enables fans around the world to enjoy the very best action from the European Qualifiers – which will determine UEFA's representatives at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup comprises nine groups of six teams, with matches played on a home-and- away basis. Qualifying takes place under the 'Week of Football' concept, introduced ahead of the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying campaign, in which games are spread out from Thursday to Tuesday, shining the spotlight on more teams on the road to the finals in Russia. Moreover, thanks to the Week of Football, at least 43% of matches will be played on weekends, giving fans a better chance to follow the action on television, in the stadiums and on UEFA.com. Kick-off times will be set mainly at 18:00CET and 20:45CET on Saturdays and Sundays and at 20:45CET for Thursdays, Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
