Uniform & Dress Code Policy These policies are affective for ANY activities or events of the Hudson Fire Department K9 Search and Rescue. We understand and respect certain personal preferences of team member’s, however they can reflect on the team as whole to others that are not so understanding, such as LE (Law Enforcement) and the families of those that we respond to a lost or missing family member mission.
1) Personal appearance and preferences; No facial piercing, no more than 4 ear piercing, male members hair that extends 1 inch over the back collar of shirt must be kept up in a team cap, tattoos that are visible and could be offensive to others will be required to be concealed. Facial hair must be neat and trimmed, no face art or dark mascera that would appear inappropriate. The issue of tattoos will be addressed on an individual basis by the officers, team coordinator, assistant coordinator, 1vote Venture Crew and no more than two adult leaders with Venture Crew. 2) Do not wear jewelry that can be caught or hung (hoop earrings ect), Neck jewelry must be concealed; no wrist bands other than watches or medic alert tags, small bracelets only during meetings. 3) Business Meetings – Team t-shirts must be worn, any style of pants that fit properly, pants that due not fit and hangs so that undergarments are visible, that hang mid of the posterior are not acceptable. 4) Field Training – Team t-shirt and appropriate BDU’s, team members black and Venture Crew Camo. All must wear black boots. 5) Casual Event – Same as field training. Boots must be polished. 6) Dress Event – Venture Crew Class B, team members no faded black BDU’s, white Academy Magellan shirt (short or long sleeve depending on weather) with appropriate team patch and other patches in appropriate location on shirt. 7) Uniform pants (BDU’s) must be in good order, no holes, no rips and not torn. They must also be worn with a black belt.
Note: Dress to be worn to an event will be announced at business meeting and if pre- planned will be noted on quarterly calendar for that event.
