Due to the nature of this post and the law relating to it, this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. As a result, all prospective employees will need to subject themselves to an enhanced Disclosures and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be completed and submitted following a provisional offer of employment with CARIS Camden Families. An enhanced DBS disclosure requires you to disclose all criminal convictions, cautions, court orders, reprimands, warnings or pending cases. It is a condition of employment with CARIS Camden Families that you have done so. Failure to disclose any such information could result in the immediate termination of your employment with CARIS Camden Families.

Any information that you supply will be dealt with on a confidential basis. CARIS Camden Families will only take into account when considering your application those convictions, cautions, court orders, reprimands, warnings or pending cases relevant to the nature and purpose of the volunteering role for which you are applying.

DBS certificates are sent directly to the applicant’s home address. CARIS Camden Families will require full sight of the DBS certificate before you are able to take up your post. If appropriate, we will also check your status online via the DBS Update Service.
