By re-interpreting some of the defining moments of history, it tells a terrible story of deception and self-deception; of absurd claims substantiated and pretensions realized, and of worthless beings which have suc- ceeded in dominating the planet through their control of an intrinsically worth- less medium of exchange: money. Read this book, and all the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place. In earlier times, there existed a people’s movement. It was, on the one hand, a political, on the other hand, a völkisch (ethnic), populist movement. Today, there are no longer any people’s movements, mainly because there are hardly any cohesive peoples left. There exists only the system. The foundation of this system rests on post-1945 re-education, whose symbol is a kind of hologram, that is to say, a projection. According to this projection, Germany and the Ger- mans were guilty of a particular crime against these beings. The system de- mands, among other things, that all people without exception acknowledge this crime as without comparison and pay tribute to it, by humbling themselves constantly before innumerable shrines to its commemoration, and that Ger- many must eternally pay compensation in various ways, sometimes to the sur- vivors of the crime, of which there seems to be an inexhaustible supply, and sometimes by giving U-boats to Israel. Whoever rebels against this coercion is punished, imprisoned. He is accused of having denied the projection. Although the accusation of denial is nonsense, as one cannot deny what one does not hold for truth, the concept of “denial” has been upheld. So it’s about a Belief, just as in the 16th century Protestants were persecuted by Catholics. It’s the modern world-embracing, universally-adhesive religion. Projection-deniers must be punished in order to maintain the system. Those who reasonably ask for an explanation are rejected on the grounds that the projection cannot be judged, as it has already been judged. Its notoriety (“common knowledge”) has been declared, otherwise Germany is innocent. To propose putting the projection on trial, in whatever way, is a step back towards National Socialism; it would be against the concept of the Federal Republic of Germany, because it places the existing order in the dock. After all, the projec- tion could be discovered to be an invention, if it is put on trial, it could be a lie. Or rather it would be considered to be unproven, until its actuality is proved. 10 GERARD MENUHIN · TELL THE TRUTH & SHAME THE DEVIL But if the projection is declared to be null and void, what becomes of the system? This is the purest logic. As re-education has undermined all the foundations of National Socialism, the possibility that the principles of this re-education could be fraudulent implies that the system could be guilty and that the era of National Socialism was not as bad as it is incessantly represented to be. So the system’s “justice” requires imprisonment instead of a just procedure; the sys- tem could not afford to allow the tenets of re-education to be called into ques- tion. So, since the Nuremberg Trials the principal enemy of truth has mutated and evolved to the extent that the German State itself has been compelled for its own sake for 70 years to maintain a hypocritical system, whose exposure would call into question, not only the legitimacy of the entity called “The Fed- eral Republic of Germany,” but also its entire administrative structure as well. Nearly all Western countries are caught in the same predicament. Even if they are not responsible for this alleged capital crime, they have paid lip service to it since 1945 and may therefore not free themselves from it. The Author, February 2016 GERARD MENUHIN · TELL THE TRUTH & SHAME THE DEVIL 11 I THWARTED: HUMANITY’S LAST GRASP FOR FREEDOM his dog is a labrador. Seldom barks and is good natured, like most labradors. Now and then, I join its owner for one of his daily rounds to air the animal. He’s a Jehovah’s Witness. Initially, he did his duty by trying to convert me, but I told him that I don’t believe in any- thing I can’t see, so he gave up. If I needed to worship anything, it would be trees. Trees have this in com- mon with a folk culture and a manufacturing economy: both are rooted in the ground and so are stable. A seasonal or service economy, supplying a mayfly community of consumers, is unstable. Any tree is worth countless consumers, as they rarely provide anything be- neficial. What they can and often do is to destroy trees. It takes a subhuman with a chainsaw only seconds to cut down what has taken maybe hundreds of years to grow. Picture an oak. This admirable tree stands on a hill and affords a majestic view. Its furrowed trunk towers into the sky. It has seen more sea- sons than any person. It has withstood countless winter storms. Its presence is ennobling even when leafless. It doesn’t have to do anything, it just is. Then along comes a consumer (an organism that obtains what it craves by helping itself to other organisms) with a saw and cuts it down for boards or even for firewood. Which would you rather have, the organism or the oak? Leading on from the consumer, don’t speak to me about the dignity of man. I haven’t seen a dignified human for a long time, if ever. That is because dignity implies personal responsibility. The Dignity of Man is just like the Rights of Man, an artificial concept, invented by artificial, cosmopolitical bodies like the U.N. or the Court of Human Rights, to displace national laws; intangible clap- trap intended to usurp established rights. Based on the fraudulent Déclaration des Droits de l’Homme of 1789, they exalted the empty excitations Liberté, Frater- nité, Egalité. If the right to clean air and water is not guaranteed, and to freedom of speech and assembly, of what use are these sonorous declarations? 12 GERARD MENUHIN · TELL THE TRUTH & SHAME THE DEVIL My neighbor and I agree on many topics, except that, like most sectarians, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Christ will return to save them. I expound on the degradation of everything, and he responds with quotes from the Scriptures, which I check when I get home. He is always right. I name the guilty; he calls them Satan. The Bible did in fact foresee it all: John 8:44, or, if you prefer, Revelation 2:9. So we’re both right. I suppose it began with a sense, nothing more. Not even a vague sentiment, let alone the certitude that what the average child is taught about major histor- ical events is a pack of lies. It was just a lurking mental itch. My father never spoke of the war, any more than he spoke of anything negative or disagreeable or, indeed, about the past at all, if he could help it. My mother spoke mostly about the past. Her past. But also, if the mood took her, of the superiority of Edwardian (stressed “a”) architecture over the Victorian equivalent, of her su- perior sense of dress and decoration, or of her war experiences. She maintained the convictions of her generation, among them, that Churchill had been a great man and Neville Chamberlain a gullible one (“appeasement” may never shed its tarnish, although any attempt to prevent war must be commendable). Alt- hough she would lugubriously tell my brother and me that “you [note, not we] would have been gassed if you had lived in Germany,” she was in no sense Germanophobic; she even spoke some German. Of course, Germany had not been part of her past, so it was not included in the reminiscences that formed a large part of her conversation.

    - THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION: A WIDER PERSPECTIVE PREFACE to the Source Collection on the Russian Revolution This is a collection of sources provided by members of the Euroclio network and curated by three members of the Historiana team. It Insert Source here: is not a comprehensive overview of the Russian Revolution. Its purpose is to provide some insights into how politicians, diplomats, senior military officers, other officials, revolutionaries, eye witnesses, bystanders, newspaper editors and journalists, ordinary people and even children perceived some of the key events in Russia from January 1917 through to December 1922. We hope that this transnational and multiperspective collection will widen students’ understanding of what happened in Russia in those critical years. The sources have been provided by history teachers and historians from 13 countries, including the Russian Federation, neighbouring states that in 1917 were part of the Russian Empire, states that were then allies or enemies of Russia and even states which were neutral non-combatants in 1917. To obtain these sources the contributors turned to their own national digital and physical archives. Where necessary, contributors summarised texts in English. Honolulu Advertiser & Star-Bulletin Obituaries January 1 - December 31, 1995 M Paul Lawrence Madison Jr. , a jazz tenor saxophonist who played with such greats as Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, died Jan. 22, 1995 at his Wahiawa home. He was 64. Madison was born Nov. 11, 1930 in Hutchinson, KA. His father was a musician and he received his first saxophone – a toy one – at age 3. Two years later he got a real one. By the time he was 15, Madison was heading up his own band. Among his musical associates were some of the greatest names in jazz. They included bassist Charles Mingus, Nat King Cole, guitarist Joe Comfort and pianist Art Tatum. “And of course Charlie Parker was his mentor,” said Madison’s wife, Classie. “He sort of sat at his knee and learned from him.” “From Gillespie, she said, Madison learned more than just blow.” He had a feel for quality and that’s what he tried to do in his music.Madison came to Hawaii in 1963 with a band, Classie said, and “stayed because he met me.” She was living in Haleiwa she said and was introduced to Madison by a close friend. They married on Jan. 19, 1965 and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary a few days before Madison’s death. In Hawaii, Madison started a roofing business, but he condinued playing as often as possible. He played with the Doug McDonald Trio at the Ilikai Hotel and various other hotels, clubs and restaurants, including the Sheraton Waikiki’s Hanohano room. He once recorded a cassette with McDonald.

  • Brigitte Bailer-Galanda “Revisionism”1 in Germany and Austria: the Evolution of a Doctrine
www.doew.at Brigitte Bailer-Galanda “Revisionism”1 in Germany and Austria: The Evolution of a Doctrine Published in: Hermann Kurthen/Rainer Erb/Werner Bergmann (ed.), Anti-Sem- itism and Xenophobia in Germany after Unification, New York–Oxford 1997 Development of “revisionism” since 1945 Most people understand so called „revisionism“ as just another word for the movement of holocaust denial (Benz 1994; Lipstadt 1993; Shapiro 1990). Therefore it was suggested lately to use the word „negationism“ instead. How- ever in the author‘s point of view „revisionism“ covers some more topics than just the denying of the National Socialist mass murders. Especially in Germany and Austria there are some more points of National Socialist politics some people have tried to minimize or apologize since 1945, e. g. the responsibility for World War II, the attack on the Soviet Union in 1941 (quite a modern topic), (the discussion) about the number of the victims of the holocaust a. s. o.. In the seventies the late historian Martin Broszat already called that movement „run- ning amok against reality“ (Broszat 1976). These pseudo-historical writers, many of them just right wing extremist publishers or people who quite rapidly turned to right wing extremists, really try to prove that history has not taken place, just as if they were able to make events undone by denying them. A conception of “negationism” (Auerbach 1993a; Fromm and Kernbach 1994, p. 9; Landesamt für Verfassungsschutz 1994) or “holocaust denial” (Lipstadt 1993, p. 20) would neglect the additional components of “revision- ism”, which are logically connected with the denying of the holocaust, this being the extreme variant.

  • The Pacific War As Total War
[Chairman’s Summary] The Pacific War as Total War Junichiro Shoji The Forum of this fiscal year is the fifth project on the Pacific War starting from FY2007 and its theme was set as the “Pacific War as Total War”. In this year, the word called “post disaster” was born instead of “postwar” because of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011. This shows that the great earthquake had a considerable impact on the Japanese society and it is still in our mind. On the other hand, this year is the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Pacific War and the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Civil War that occurred in the U.S. mainland and caused a total of about 600,000 deaths from the two armies. This war is said to be a precedent of total war. Nowadays the word “total war” is used vaguely without careful consideration in many cases, and it is occasionally used as a pronoun that means “put all efforts”. For example, a commentator described the championship game between Japanese team and the U.S. team in the FIFAWomen’s World Cup as the “total war”. A person who introduced the concept of “total war” for the first time in the history is French politician Leon Daudet. He published La guerre totale (The Total War) in 1918 based on the lessons learnt from the battle with Germany in the First World War. In the background, there was recognition that World War I was a totally different type of war from traditional wars in which only armies participated.

INFORMATION TO USERS This material was produced from a microfilm copy of the original document. While the most advanced technological means to photograph and reproduce this document have been used, the quality is heavily dependent upon the quality of the original submitted. The following explanation of techniques is provided to help you understand markings or patterns which may appear on this reproduction. 1.The sign or "target" for pages apparently lacking from the document photographed is "Missing Page(s)". If it was possible to obtain the missing page(s) or section, they are spliced into the film along with adjacent pages. This may have necessitated cutting thru an image and duplicating adjacent pages to insure you complete continuity. 2. When an image on the film is obliterated with a large round black mark, it is an indication that the photographer suspected that the copy may have moved during exposure and thus cause a blurred image. You will find a good image of the page in the adjacent frame. 3. When a map, drawing or chart, etc., was part of the material being photographed the photographer followed a definite method in "sectioning" the material. It is customary to begin photoing at the upper left hand corner of a large sheet and to continue photoing from left to right in equal sections with a small overlap. If necessary, sectioning is continued again — beginning below the first row and continuing on until complete. 4. The majority of users indicate that the textual content is of greatest value, however, a somewhat higher quality reproduction could be made from "photographs" if essential to the understanding of the dissertation.

  • Civic and Political Status
Civic and Political Status CIVIL LIBERTIES HE PERIOD between July 1954 and the autumn of 1955 saw a marked im- Tprovement in the general attitude on civil liberties questions in the United States. Many factors contributed to this. A decreased fear of immi- nent war was accompanied by a calmer approach to internal policies. The absence of any evidence of new Communist penetration, either in govern- ment or in other fields, led to a widespread feeling that the danger from con- spiratorial Communist activity had declined. On the other hand, the pub- licity received by a number of cases in which security procedures had been patently misused led to an increased realization of the dangers arising from measures which departed from the spirit of the Bill of Rights. And there could be little doubt that the clash between Sen. Joseph R. McCarthy and the Army, followed by the report of the Senate Select Committee to Study Censure Charges (Watkins Committee) and the Senate censure vote (AMER- ICAN JEWISH YEAR BOOK, 1955 [Vol. 56], p. 184-85), tended to bring the ap- proach generally described as "McCarthyism" into disrepute. Security Program The change was least noticeable in the legislative field, where it took the form of a decrease in new restrictive legislation rather than in the disap- perance of any already on the books. There was, however, a marked altera- tion in both the interests and the behavior of legislative investigating com- mittees. In the executive department, security procedures changed little, and injustices still appeared to be frequent. But when—as increasingly hap- pened—they were brought to public attention, there was a new readiness and even eagerness to remedy them.
